But yet the banner lives on Did you know that the banner disappears if you click on the x. I realised today. Better late than never. It (the x) was requested very early on and chris kindly introduced it very quickly. But as the banner is no longer relevant it's time it was vanished.

Must be a new ash cloud. There's nothing flying into my inbox. Edit. Typically two minutes later something arrives. Thanks stuartassetzcapitalWe drowned a bit seems like a huge list of people were eagerly awaiting details before investing. The forecasts are in there. Given we have around £500m or more of lending capital being contracted / already agreed by end of Q1 the £1bn funding line target by Q4 should be delivered early. The strategy, that I oversee, is to give retail as much as it wants and deliver all excess origination to funds, all on a random rotational allocation basis. The more capital we have to deploy the more loan origination we get. This month will be good for new loans and next month looks like £15m-20m origination which is many times the highest ever month previously. Good morning stuartassetzcapital, Could you take a minute to explain why the projected loan flow has not materialised? ( I've asked andrewholgate and others on another thread, but the question appears to have been ignored thus far.)

I mentioned it on another thread EDIT I thought it best to start a new thread. p2pindependentforum.com/post/47249/thread

That may be so, but I don't think it excuses the lack of any sort of clarification from AC, which appears to support speculation that AC no longer need, or care, about retail investors.

Absolutely no excuse. The promised that there would be no impact on retail flow when they first mentioned institutional money. Open markets in which all participants understand what is going on are the only type I am interested in.

It's a big IF until AC choose to (or not) clarify the situation but Lending Club (USA) stated many blue moons ago that if institutional investors got involved then they would always prioritise the retail lender over the institutions. Now according to the media since their IPO, IIRC, 80% goes to the institutions and 20% retail. Probably far easier dealing with one lender for a loan than several smaller ones but sooner or later it's those institutions that call the shots and take the cream with the crumbs left for the minnows. I suspect much of the cream is already going to the institutions on another platform but that's me putting two and two together and I choose to no longer lend there. Until though anything is confirmed or denied by AC then it's pure (possibly unfair) speculation but their forecast deal flow does seem to be way off the mark.

I suspect much of the cream is already going to the institutions on another platform but that's me putting two and two together and I choose to no longer lend there. Just because LC are splitting their funding 80/20 in favour of institutions doesn't preclude retail lenders being prioritised. If LC can lend more than retail lenders are willing to supply then all retail lender demand could be satisfied in full, with the institutions picking up the remainder -- which could be considerably more than the amount going to the retail sector. ISTM that Zopa are doing something similar. Their published data on the amount they're lending appears to be more than can be supported by the retail supply they have, so I suspect they're using institutional funds to fill their excess demand. They appear to be having difficulty balancing their supply sources, and when they get it wrong in one direction their retail lending speed drops considerably and the complaints appear on their forum for all to see. Allocation of individual loans to investors is a 'black box' process, so there's no way to know whether one group of investors is being favoured.

Good news about RR. Hope he has joined to stiffen up the recoveries department. It is amazing how a pair of six guns can loosen-up wallets!!!
Bye the way has Trigger come with him?
Just noticed AC's net worth at the end of March last year very nearly came to -£-1M.

A recent update on the Seedrs website suggests steady progress towards the 'trigger' event is being made in the background, with matters having progressed beyond the initial negotiations into something more substantive.
