I wish whoever it was that was manipulating rates back up would get on with it - they're starting to get sensible again. Not fair!

Some high roller in the 1 year market seems determined to push rates down Attachments:

Could it be the bug where 'regular investments' at a 'my rate' below MR actually get invested at that rate, or did RS finally fix that (repayments didn't have that problem).??

Just got a match at 5.8% in the 3 year market. Looks like money could be running low again.

I got a match at 6.8% yesterday, although how many days/months/years it'll last for is a bit of a cr&pshoot. Now angling for 6% in the 3 years market. Eat your heart out Zopa. 8>.

Getting 6.8% 5 year nicely now. Makes up for FC's A+ at net 6.4%.

Getting 6.8% 5 year nicely now. Makes up for FC's A+ at net 6.4%. We ain't got it yet! Cillyaase hasn't popped up with his £100K at 6.1%!! (triggering Inspector Clooless with his 5.9% ) 15:36Right!! All matched 6.8% Should do the same (at least) tomorrow, then next Wednesday could be the time to transfer in a lump sum before the early April drop in rates.

Should I be happy I just scored 3.1% in monthly, or disappointed that it's now matching at 3.3 just 30 mins later?!
Oh, RateSetter, you tease, you!

I reckon that waiting an extra day for an extra 0.1% gains one nothing in the monthly market. Good to see plenty of activity on the 1 year and 3 year markets these days compared with last year.

7% + RS 1% + PV fund payment by borrower (not sure what they pay) so 8% + loans. Not sure how competitive this is. Actually back to early days of RS now which is nice and imo where it should be.

I agree. Some of the high street lenders/banks are offering 4% (ish) loans. Not sure how strict their lending criteria are.

I believe most personal loans between 4 and 5% are for 5-7.5k +, check out loans below this level and rates are significantly higher.
Also RateSetter's historical default rate suggests their lending procedure has been very prudent ... long may it continue.
I prefer the current setup ... rather than higher rates and higher risk, other P2P's offer that.
