Leeds is flying off the shelf, and there's a bit of boiler man tranche 3 available.

There's been a bee hive of activity on the AM since yesterday evening. Given the inactivity of live loans recently, does this mean some people know something we don't & are selling in preparation for fresh loans? Or is it just wishful thinking

WOW All L***s units gone within 12 hours or so. Around £180k's worth (if memory serves me right) was put up last night. It has got to be a HNW member who might be underwriting an upcoming loan as the horseshoe has shown 100% user bids for a long time now. Any ideas/theories?

I wonder if it is possible to receive an email when loan become available on the AM? I wonder whether it would be useful to implement this. As in, I suspect not. When a loan goes on the aftermarket, it is often sold (through Auto Invest) faster than you could receive the email, let alone react to it. For example, the last few times I've dropped an older loan part (to free up money for current ones), I've pushed "Yes, I want to sell this", been returned to the account page that says "Your loan part has been placed on the market" and immediately seen that it's ALREADY sold. That's auto-invest noticing and immediately buying on behalf of someone. Just set up an auto-invest mandate for the ones you are interested in, and let it grab them for you. Otherwise, you're not even in the queue

Otherwise, you're not even in the queue I'm fairly sure that chris said that an Alert system was going to be introduced soonish where we can set it to go off for most things, such as a payment hitting our accounts, but I don't remember anything about stuff happening on the AM as a possible alert, perhaps he's thinking AI will take all the action we want there. But I'd have thought the average guy in the street would like that option for alert too.

It's coded, just needs the events themselves plumbing in (e.g. when a loan unit is listed it is coded to trigger an event) and on global events such as that we'd need an anti-spam measure so that you only got the notification once when new loan units are listed and once per day, whichever is less frequent, or with similar settings to that.
But we have other higher priority work at the moment so seeing the notifications project through to completion keeps being pushed back.

Yep - quite busy this evening. I think Y*******e underwriters offloading some units onto the AM has spurred some activity - I for one have taken the opportunity to rebalance.

Dear Ton, Dear Ton ... By the time you read these lines, it'll be gone.
Thanks, AC!
is my musical prediction The average guy in the street will probably ask one of 2 questions: "Why am I getting alerts when there are no parts available?" or "Why didn't I get any alerts, is this thing on?" depending on which side of the line the decision to send the email is taken. In practice, unless there's a massive underwriter-dump of parts, or someone with deep pockets shuffling loan parts, I can't see how you'd compete without AI.

He always said he wanted to become a lender at some point... What's the tune I should be singing the "AC Alert" to? Some of the reasons I'm interested in alerts for things coming onto the AM are; 1)I'm very nosy, a market is always about what the other is doing, 2)Sudden bursts of selling can mean that someone's spotted a problem with a loan such as siatou thread, 3)Over-availability on the AM can be a reason for me not to invest; as I'm often looking for an quick exit, ie selling Hackney was often hard over the last month or so. It's taken me three hours to come up with the above, but I must be able to think of some more...

Can you send me an alert via PM when you do ?

With a bit of minor tweaking it fits to 'Since you've been gone'. Vaguely appropriate...
