Having set up targets for lots of good loans already running, I have doubled my investment recently and now have a wide diversification, as any spare cash has been allocated seconds after it becomes available. It is also good to know that you can almost certainly liquidate something immediately and with no cost should you have a sudden unexpected need to withdraw funds. I think JamesFrance may be being a tad optimistic. If spare cash has been invested in loans as soon as it was made available, it's because those loans already had units available. If someone already has units in one of those loans and decides to reduce their target holding below their actual holding then their surplus units would join the other units for sale and I can say from experience that they will not be liquidated immediately. Just try selling some units in loans #90, #93, or #101 right now and see how quickly they sell -- or don't! I've had a reasonably large number of #129 units for sale for a few days now with no takers despite interest accruing at an 18% rate. Someone with a sudden unexpected need to withdraw funds cannot rely on liquidating holdings in loans that have lots of units for sale already. The only loans where units will be liquidated quickly are those where no units are for sale at the moment. And even for those, there have to be others with targets set above their current holdings and cash available in their accounts for any units to be sold. I'm not trying to put people off investing at AC. But I do think people need to be aware that gettiing their money out isn't as easy as from an instant access account elsewhere.

I did say liquidate something, with many different loans there should be several which have buyers waiting, even at this early stage of the new system. I believe there is an option to offer a discount coming soon, which would maybe put your units at the front of the sales queue if you need to sell everything, which was not what I was thinking about anyway.
Compared with being tied up in loans waiting for drawdown and having large minimum bids, for me this works well as it is possible to invest money quickly as soon as you have it available.

Leicester care home (133) now available. But if you want some you'll have to be quick. The repayments page is showing the first payment -- actually all of them -- as due on 7/Nov, so I expect that in less than two hours the system will think there's been a missed payment and stop all Aftermarket sales until the error is fixed.

You're right mike! Maybe davidricketts1 or chris can give the IT guys a nudge to correct the anomaly? After having a deserved nice long weekend off of course
