Is it possible to tell if anyone's buying 70? I hope they are not. Pretty sure nobody is. I admit to putting mine on the aftermarket with a (admittedly trivial) discount so that for anyone actually buying, my units would be at the front of the queue. I had been undercut soon afterwards, yet all those units are still showing as available. There are some slightly bigger discounts now, but I can't see anyone biting. Not even for the grand 5% off a £20 unit. I did originally list without a discount, though fortunately paid enough attention as to roughly where they were in the queue. Otherwise, given how many more units were listed since, they have been complete needles in the haystack to find them to buy back then resell at a discount.

It's wise to have some caution in buying back your own stock as someone was saying that they tried to do this and somehow ended up with twice as much stock as when they started as they infact seem to have bought someone elses and not their own. It's best atleast to try and use AI in the first instance. Then try buying them back if you have to. Any issues that come up might be because of using both systems. Using a discount doesn't necessarily put you at the head of the buy queue as I'm sure you've notice. The AI system has several things to balance Best Price for buyer meeting your total requirement (ie £1500 or whatever) who has most in the queue who's longest in the queue being fair to buyer/seller This is my vague understanding & I may be wrong. For buyers it seems best to trawl thru the 20 odd pages or whatever, if you have the time, and pick the best value (if there is any value left in the item)

I did read your sticky thread first about marking down units. It wasn't clear whether AI would work, though it didn't buy my own units back. Fortunately I didn't buy that much of this to start with. By manually buying back one or two units at a time, I made sure they were my own units being bought. For loan purchases done manually, as opposed to AI, I did originally think cheapest units are bought first. For example, there is a £100 unit marked down by 11% right at the end of the list. If you manually choose to buy £100, that is the unit that gets picked. However, if I were to choose £200, then other units are picked and not the cheapest. So I think you're right about there being some balance going on, even for manual buying. I'm not increasing my AI to test that method though

Maybe that facility has not been implemented because underwriters trying to sell £100Ks of units would not be too pleased by minuscule undercutting of their price causing their sales to take second place. They can't prevent manual searching for available bargains though. Free yellow fruit available with my finest available units, just let me know and I'll furnish you with the going banana rate.

Can you search the units listed by markdown? It might be helpful to be able to do that. Not that I plan to buy any FF but for those who might be more risk-seeking than me! The simple answer is no. It has been asked for though. Units on the AM seem to be listed in the same order they're put up for sale. First first and Last last. Though I've noticed that the unit which is £33.33 on the first page seems to bounce around from near the top of the page to the middle, but the £60 units which is on the same page seems to stay in roughly the same position.

Some ridiculously high activity on AM this morning?! Managed to pick units in the likes of Sth Manc, Le**s & a couple others I was low on. I wonder if it's underwriters selling to fulfill their obligations on other loans?

I wonder if it's underwriters selling to fulfill their obligations on other loans? Having had a look at what is currently available on the AM I noticed that many of the loans available appear to be behind with their payments - some only a few days others more than a month. Could be some fault in updating the records or it could be something to worry about but more importantly it could indicate why they are on the AM.

Go to the Completed Loans listed on the AM. Look at auction No 67. Look at the documentation and the payment record and you will see there is no record of payment for July!

Last payment was 14th June, next is 14th July which is in ten days time.
