The interest owed to you for the time you've held it since the last payment will be settled out of the next payment. Does that also work with the "single bullet" ones, where no payment is made at all until the end of the loan (yet interest is "accruing" away on your loan summary page?) That is, say you hold the loan for a bit, sell it, get ... capital back now, and no interest settlement until wayyyy off into the future? Yes

I've just counted eight separate loans on the aftermarket, got to be the highest ever seen...and on a weekend to boot! People must be dusting off their portfolios

The interest owed to you for the time you've held it since the last payment will be settled out of the next payment. i.e. you are effectively paid to the last day you fully held those units, so if you sold a unit say today, you'll be paid up to & including accrued interest yesterday. Feel free guys to correct if wrong. That is correct. We felt it fairer that the seller takes the default risk for the interest up to the point of sale rather than transferring all that risk on to the buyer which is the more traditional way of doing things.

That is, say you hold the loan for a bit, sell it, get ... capital back now, and no interest settlement until wayyyy off into the future? Yes Ah, thanks for clarifying that, I shall have to keep track of any loan parts I drop until the ... other (interest) shoe drops Using FC/Zopa/RS as the triple ended yardstick (for right or wrong) I'd have expected a sold loan part to be gone and no longer in need of tracking. So that's a new wrinkle to learn. mikes1531: It's like a game of Hungry Hippos on that aftermarket.

Interesting that the underwriter(s) have now shifted almost all of the lens makers.

How can you tell that? Is there somewhere you can see what has been sold?

How can you tell that? Is there somewhere you can see what has been sold? You can tell by looking at the horseshoe graph. As loan parts are sold it updates the proportion shown as being held by the underwriter. There is a bug at the moment though whereby it's sometimes miscalculating the principal remaining on a given loan part that's been sold on the aftermarket causing the total to be incorrectly shown. I'll work on fixing that shortly but have had other higher priorities to deal with first.

Not really an answer Chris, as the % change may be tiny and you have to remember what it said before.
