At the moment the secondary market is active so probably not worth it at moment as pretty much everything sells, but in the future the secondary market might not be as active
But would it possible when renews are issued that we can select how much we want to renew rather then all or nothing.

Another thought - as the loan flow at MT increases and more of us own parts in different loans, I wonder if the process of dealing with renewals can be improved.
This isn't another request for an 'automatically renew all loans' option which I know several raised before and that I support but more to do with the communication re:renewals.
Let me explain - I am already in around 30 MT loans and each time I get an email saying MTxxx is up for renewal (which goes to all customers) I find myself having to go to the website to check if one of my loans is affected (as I don't recall the MT number of all the loans I am invested in)
Is it possible to have the option for existing loan holders to get an additional email to say something along the lines of "loan MTxxx which you own is coming up for renewal/action required'
There may be a better way of dealing with this than an additional e-mail and I am open to ideas. I really just don't want to have to keep logging in unnecessarily. Of course, if the 'automatically renew all loans' option was to appear, the need for this is less - especially since the introduction the SM..

Acknowledged. Will look into this at some point. Regards, Ed.

At the moment we use a 3rd party email system for notification emails, however at some point we will be looking to move much of this to be generated by the platform which will allow a lot more flexibility and filter communications better to target relevant investors. Also, the global opt-in option is still on the list. Plenty of improvements to be made to the platform (will always be such). Much of the last few weeks has been spent on the code, db and hardware resources which will dramatically speed up the responsiveness. There should be a real noticeable difference on this aspect come the next high demand period which we hope you will see.

the global opt-in option is still on the list. I can't remember what was discussed, but if/when this comes, it would be nice if it could be flexible enough to either say "renew all loans automatically" or say "renew these specific loans automatically".

Hi Ed, the FAQ needs to be updated.
Can I access my allocated funds in an emergency?
In the next few months we will be launching a feature whereby lenders can sell on their investment in a loan via the MoneyThing online platform.
Might make more people want to join if they are aware they can now sell on the secondary market

Mentioned elsewhere, but probably better placed in this thread... MoneyThing Ed, have you uprooted and become a northerner? It's just the contact page has changed to a Ramsey address but the map still points to Douglas.

Yes - I have migrated the office north last month to selfishly reduce myself and MrsThing's commute by an hour a day (also bigger). Now only a 10 minute drive from home which is a real novelty (my early career saw me having to contend with the M25 for between 2 and 4 hours a day). We have a number of changes to make to the content of the marketing site (including getting the map to pinpoint the office correctly). We are about to send these to the web developers (external), to make the changes so should be done shortly.

I hope it was just an issue at your end, but would be interested to know if anyone else noticed any slowness?

Reloads of loan page to see progress also much slower than usual

Initially for me it did but I only noticed as FS was being slow so switched to MT otherwise would not have noticed

Yes was slow for me as well, it took about 10sec reloading the Loans page at exactly 16:00, once I managed to get into the loan it was fine. Given the bid limit it was not a problem as have plenty of time to invest but I am so used to the fastest finger problem on other sites that I did panic for a bit.
