*****ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY***** It's finally here, your chance to be the proud owner of a Ratesetter (TM) Mug. Not sure on forum rules for this kind of thing so will happily take any guidance from any of our kind moderators. Here are the Competition rules. 1. The Auction will run until Friday 06/03/2015 at 17:00 GMT, the last highest bidder before this time and date will receive the item. 2. Following receipt of the item, the winning bidder will make a payment for the sum of their winning bid to the charity of their choice. 3. Postage and packing will be included in the winning bid, in short I'll pay to have it shipped. 4. Shipping will be to any Mainland UK address. 5 Bids are to be made in 50p increments (to make it more fun.) 6. You cannot outbid your own existing winning bid (some of you would try.) 7. No person affiliated with any P2P company can take part in the auction. 8. The judge (me) reserves the right to change any rules whenever or however she/he feels like it. 9. (Optional) If the winning bidder is able to post at the end of the competition some redacted evidence of charity payment, it might be a nice touch. 10. I have a load of bubble wrap, so will do everything possible to ensure the item is received intact, however who knows what the postie will do with it. Attached is a photo of the article for auction, should you require any further information on the item please feel free to ask.

£1 bid. Loving Rule 8, by the way. You don't run a major UK bank by any chance, do you Investor?

I do hope the precious mug is safely locked away for now.

£1 + monthly access interest rate of 3.0% = £1.50. I think.

No no, Adrianc you are only allowed to put in higher bids!!!
Not sure this is a 'once in a lifetime opportunity' .. I bet Westonkev has a whole car bootload of them (getting more faded with every cuppa), but in the spirit of the charitable enterprise, and assuming you keep buying my FC loan parts at tidy markup, I'll up the ante to £5.

That is really poor printing on the mug and, for that reason, I'm out.

If there's a handle on the mug.......£6 bid. Happy to confirm that the mug comes will a fully integrated handle so will graciously accept your £6 as the current highest bid. On further inspection I can also confirm that the handle is fully adaptable to suit both left handed and right handed users, a simple set of instruction which will only be made available to the winning bidder enabled me to convert the mug for either user type. Am sure this adds significant additional value so please continue to bid away.

just think how frenetic the bidding would have been with the old grey, blue and white colouring...

What about a 'buy it now' price?

However, I notice that the access point for the liquid is via the top of the mug, will it still work in Australia? Won't the liquid just fall out? This defect may significantly reduce it's value on the world antiques market.

I'm a bit suspicious about your description of the handle and, for that reason, and without intending to cause any offense, could you please confirm whether the said mug is ceramic or plastic or made of some other material? The photo from this distance is not very clear on the matter.
