I think that they must have had a lunchtime sesh down the wine bar early this week and returned full of cashback joy.

Perhaps they've realised that , as Flippers work out they can no longer flip their property parts (which by next week will also be subject to mansion taxes) to autobidders anymore, there might not be so much takeup.
Better to make hay while the sun shines.

The prospect of some combination of Labour (who advocate a mansion tax) and the LibDems (who advocate a mansion tax) winning the UK General Election. If they win this will presumably put downward pressure on high value property, which in turn will make it less attractive to build said property. Some of the property development loans on FC are to build properties where the selling price is expected to be > £1 million (though I think the LibDem threshold is going to be £2 million).
EDIT: Would be my guess.

EDIT: Would be my guess. Labour threshold is also £2 million. More relevant is the potential downward pressure on house prices that some analysts have said will result from the imposition of the tax, as houses circa 2mil are sold for less than that sum to avoid the tax. No doubt there is an alternative view on the other side. Mansion Tax Impact?

I would ignore the Fail personally! The article is in the Mail but it's written/analysis by an economic think tank. Ive added another link to a similar article in the Guardian, Theres also a report from the CEBR which anaylises the tax and suggests similar impact. Would like to see something that argues the alternative case, particularly as an investor in property loans.

And now comes 12707, seeking another trifling £430k at 8% but this one with just 1% CB. Surely the height of optimism expecting that to fill with so many other 2%CB deals on offer at the moment?

Three top priorities: 1. Grow the loanbook 2. Grow the loanbook 3. Grow the loanbook

12707 reached 25% about a day quicker than better 2% cashback loans.
Hmmm I smell a rat

It'll be interesting to see if 12647 gets away, even with a 2% cashback. It needs another £72,000 with 31 hours left on the clock. People might be busier / more distracted today than they would normally be, and then there's all the competing A+ property loans that you guys have already been talking about.

In hindsight I've overbought so personally I wouldn't mind if it didn't make it!
EDIT: £58.6k left to go in just over 27hrs now so I think it should make it
