Hello everyone, my friend and I created a loan filtering tool to backtest loan performance. It's now public at peerlan.com/. Free to use, feedback appreciated.

Many thanks for your work with this. I wonder if you may be able to add an analysis of default recovery, something like the default curves which Bondora used to provide.

Hi, I'm one of the Peerlan creators. Thanks for the feedback from all of you. I'm glad that you like Peerlan! We published the first testing version on Friday. We are improving it every day. Our improvements list contains: * More filters (all that Bondora uses in their loan search form) * Recovery estimations/calculations to be able to estimate ROI for defaulted loans more precisely * Portfolio analysis with charts (loan grade distribution in your portfolio, country distribution etc. Similar to this p2p-anlage.de/2015/04/bondora-portfolio-update-april-2015/) * Allow users to save filters directly in Peerlan * Notifications when new loans that match your filter appear on Bondora. We have created a simple Chrome extension to do this right now and it works pretty good. * (Semi)automatic investing robot * Secondary market analysis and (semi)auto investing * Find out how to earn any money from Peerlan :-) Some "PRO" subscription with premium features. Which features from the list do you like most? Do you have any other suggestions? Thank you and have a nice Monday. Jiri Koutny

Checking every two minutes and automatically removing loans from the secondary market after a payment has been made would be useful. Even more useful, changing to a new price after payment.

Hi Jiri, The list looks good. I am missing ability to have comparison statistics, for example ROI in 2014 compared to 2013 (or maybe even better quarter after quarter) with the dimensions you have. That would be useful to see if and how Bondora makes their selection, grading criteria improvements and in general how different metrics evolve in time. Kind of simple but analytics (Btw in case you find it interesting as different people need different staff IMHO Saiku ( community.meteorite.bi/) open source analytics tool can help here We use it in our project and it is really nice.)

Thanks for your feedback. We will definitely look into it. Hi, we've just updated Peerlan with new filters. Peerlan now support all Bondora standard filters. We've also added new breakdowns (tables with data grouped by all values of the selected attribute). What's next? Filter saving & auto-investing/new loans monitoring according to your saved filters! Hi Jiri
I like your site, but I still have problems with 'completion'.
You say:
How do you calculate "Loan completion"?
We select loans with selected % of principal repaid + all defaulted loans that match selected filter. We don't include recoveries yet to this metric. ROI calculated when using the "Loan completion" filter is quite pessimistic.
This I do not understand.
Probably 'completion' means all loans which were funded but are not now available. What I mean is 'completion' is: - void (by this I mean loans issued but refunded/cancelled/not taken up by borrower, without any interest payments) - repaid
Q1: does 'completion' include defaults? Q2: is the default % calculated with all loans or only excluding 'completion' loans?
Currently 'completion' is a messy concept.
I would propose a different approach.
Instead of working with all issued loans and having this strange concept of 'completion', why not work with real loans?
For me, a real loan is one that is issued but not void.
So I am questioning your selection:
Loans are saved to our database; We ignore:
not funded loans (wasFunded = 0), cancelled loans (CreditDecision = 0), loans with empty "LoanDate" or "IssuedInterest" attributes, loans where "ContractEndDate" < "FirstPaymentDate",
If you are interested, I can look at the selection criteria that you use and propose my own.
Then the term 'completion' is not needed, and you can just use this column for Repaid loans.

Peerlan has some very nice and relevant graphs. Thanks. But look at: default-rate-graphNo defaults ever?

Peerlan has some very nice and relevant graphs. Thanks. But look at: default-rate-graphNo defaults ever? Interesting I note also that many of the recent percentage graphs add up to more than 100%! A shame as I find the graphs have been good for showing at-a-glance trend information that would normally take me hours to put together. Of course, it may be that more than 100% is possible - the spate of "Rejected" bids may well have had something to do with the shape of this weeks graphs.
