I don't want to get involved between the two parties but felt something had to be said. woodpusher, I assure you no one questions your right to ask questions & expect answers when deciding to bid on a loan or not. I t was more what looked like a somewhat accusatory way in which it was done . If anything, you raised some very good points that many of us have missed. This is what the whole experience is about, one of us misses something, the other doesn't & vice versa. That way, we have a collective view & exploration of a loan & then individually we'll decide whether to tip in or not.
AC does not command any special treatment from us, we're the customers here & we invest our hard earned money with them. That said though, the guys should warrant & deserve a level of courtesy & respect from their investors & other on this board. I'm sure everyone here like to be treated that way & thus we should reciprocate that as well.
One hopes a line has been drawn on this episode & all parties will shake hands (metaphorically) & make up.

Having tracked down what I believe to be the £200k fish farm cited as an example in the valuation, I have even greater concerns about the how the valuer came to final values. The example fishery appears to have been marketed at £273k, consists of a 5 bedroom house, all be it split into two flats (the one being valued has a mobile home/caravan), 17.5 acres (3x acreage of the one being valued), and google Maps reveals there to be substantially more tanks, ponds and out buildings than the one being valued.

Hmmmm...this, coupled with your comments a day or two ago does give some serious food for thought on this loan, batchoy. Let's wait & see the answers, if any, on AC's q & a board will reveal any further positive info or not. I wonder if this one will make it?! It probably will considering its very small size.

@woodpusher - I have not taken any objection to the concerns you have raised about the auction. I stated very clearly that I object to you naming my staff by name in the open forum. If you have any problems with AC you can state them directly to me either here on this forum or through my email andrew@assetzcapital.co.uk. Defamation of character can be seen as a libelous sentiment, and suggesting that my team do not take their job seriously can be construed that way.
In regards to bidding, no-one has bid on the auction as we never set it live due to the comments and concerns. No-one has invested money in this yet, and nor have I asked anyone to.
Now I will state again, I have no issue with comments on the auctions. The apology I sought was for naming and "shaming" my staff in an open forum, despite it being against the rules of this forum directly and the moderators having to edit your post. If you fail to see why that is an issue then there is no hope. I politely request that you calm your comments down and take time to reflect on exactly what I have said above. I also extend the opportunity for you to talk to me directly. If you want to IM me or email me I will send you my personal mobile number and we can talk.
All - In regards to the auction, I've spent a lot of time over the weekend looking at this and also going through comments sent by the lenders. I believe there are too many unanswered questions, the security has a number of problems and a concerning item of information also came to light. To that end, I will be pulling this one ASAP.

Andrew, for what it is worth you have my full support in the way you have responded to comments in this thread, and the decision to pull this auction. Lets just hope that lessons have been learnt and AC and its lenders can move on in a productive future relationship.
I see the pulling of an auction at any time up to drawdown if new information appears or concerns are raised in the crowd DD to be a sign of a professional and functional p2x platform. A very very much better outcome than the loan going belly up after a few months.

As always, I'm here to listen and take notice so that I can improve how we give the information to the lenders. A lot of how AC has been shaped has come from good feedback and I believe this has engendered a lot of goodwill towards us.

As a lender in three p2p platforms, I am very appreciative of the time that Assetz staff put into updating lenders through this forum and elsewhere. Other platforms don't. Keep up the good loans.

I am also a lender on other P2P platforms and endorse the fact that the communications from AC, via Andrew, are much better than the others I use.
