'they are not' .. did you mean not using it (I think they are) or not rigging it (I doubt they'd deliberately do that, although some of their programming screwups, like the LIFO autobuying, might give that impression). They probably don't NEED to shift their loan parts though, since the capital involved is small beer compared to their running costs / equity funding injections.

Sorry, to be clear, I meant that my assumption is that they are not rigging it in their favour. So they are using it, and if they are that has a number of ramifications....

...(unless of course autobuy is being really slow about deploying it). It would tend to be quite slow - each individual only gets a turn at being in the autobid chair about once a day, and it'll undoubtedly try bidding on primary auctions with at least some of the money, which in turn knocks out other bidders, many of whom will themselves be looking to redeploy the funds, and so on... Even when it buys parts from the secondary market, many of the users selling will also be looking to redeploy funds themselves. Funds can end up bouncing around quite a bit before they reach a user who will actually be withdrawing them. Another point (as I mentioned on a different thread) is that another £500k was repaid early today. There seems to be some acceleration of loan part sales - around £200k today, compared to around £100k for most days in the last week or so.

Given how many other "faults" Frequently Corrupted's platform regularly develops, I wouldn't be surprised if Autobid simply "broke" in mid-April and it took until late last week for someone to turn it off and on again...

I think it was still working at auction, but it might have broken for SM purchases, yes. Maybe all will be revealed in the other place when (if) they answer the question.

Did it break again? Zero sales at par for me last night. Everything broke last night. No payment run either. Expect they're getting in practice for the bank holiday.

Seems to have gone back to no sales again, so maybe it was as someone (SL75?) said, just the bulge of the property loan repayments which temporarily cause autobuy to look at the SM for some lenders.

Just sold one of my very early 7% property loan parts at par. They don't move fast. I might celebrate with smoked salmon and a glass of wine for lunch

Yes but it is only a dribble - a few purchases to be able to say it is working when in fact it has been throttled right back. There should have been a lot of Autobid purchases over the BH weekend. An explanation is required from Fanciful Circumlocutions.

My numbers are much lower than that, like four yesterday and two today - with over 1000 listed. The two today have been purchase by a buyer called Fly*ng P*gl*t which aptly describes the rarity of the purchases.

No loan parts available on 9950. (The two earlier tranches are risk band removed, so you can't buy them either.)
