Yes the lack of activity is becoming a concern.
I feel reluctant to take out my meagre funds which are sitting in my account doing nothing but wait for the gold rush, but I feel the day is getting closer.
Some kind of update from FS would be appreciated.

FS like to tweet, mostly only mildly interesting, but first thing this morning there is this ...
So, we are to expect a good sized loan later today! Usually we would get an email notification, which would be my preference.

Some kind of update from FS would be appreciated. I agree. I asked for one a couple of days ago, and we're still waiting. Perhaps FS have been too busy setting up the loan that's supposed to become available today. Hopefully once that's gone active they'll have a few minutes to let us know what's going on.

At the top of the FS Twitter page it says "% of loans funded this week = 100%." Also, does anyone know how Twitter reports time? The item linked above has a timestamp of 12:12 AM, and Twitter report that as being 11 hours ago. That suggests Twitter's clock is on the west coast of America.

I was about to post along the same lines - by 'today' they clearly meant tomorrow afternoon at 3pm! Since I transferred money in this morning on the strength of the statement it was coming later today, I find it mildly annoying. As this one is again limited, I sincerely hope there are more coming in it's wake in the very near future. Edit: just noticed, it looks like you haven't seen your email Mike, announcing that the loan is tomorrow afternoon - it won't be coming in this evening. Hadn't noticed the twitter timestamp anomaly before. Interesting, and I don't know the answer.

That's the good news. The bad news is that there's something wrong with the comment about the bidding restriction... That's inconsistent. What does that really mean? Is "25%" a typo that should be "2%"?

Yes - I considered emailing them and then decided the 25% was so obviously wrong that it was a typo and should have read 2%, because the £400 was a sensible amount. As that seemed to all make sense, I didn't bother.

If not, I'm going to have to start emailing my questions directly to them. The forum software reports that they've been online today, but that doesn't mean they've been following this thread. And their last posting was a week ago -- and the only one they've made this year.

After the long drought I'm more concerned about the loan security. 17 Modern paintings by an artist that started his career just 3 years ago? Well, though there's a bit of cash sitting idle in my account and most probably will continue to sit idle for quite a while, I'll miss this one. And while humming "I am just a simple man ...."(Bad Co) I think I'll be more happy to see some gold, watches, cars, bikes, but after MJ hats and lots of paintings, my imagination is running wild what's next.

Good point, but a trawl of the internet did turn up a few auction sale results, and they were rather pricey. Also, the auction prices seemed to be at or above the auctioneer's guide price, so that's encouraging. The bottom line, however, is that to invest with FS you have to have faith that they know what they're doing and that their valuers do as well. Obviously easier with a longer track record and more activity, so it's best to be cautious.

A quick search reveals one of his paintings is for sale for $14,000 and another was listed on ebay for $2,600 Of course something is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it ... but this appears to be an auction result for $4000 from 2010. I think his career is probably nearer 5 years than 3. Edit: Sorry mikes1531 - we keep cross posting !

Shows how tired i was didn't even spot the typo in the email . Personally not sure on this loan. Did the last large number of art pieces loan as the art work itself was pretty diversified so i figured that some of the valuations would be on target . This one is all in one artist who is relatively new. I don't know enough about art to be able to judge this one. Also I seem to have spent all my investment pennies instead of investing them over the christmas period

Hello
There was a typo in the email that was sent out concerning the saver restriction. It should have read 2% not 25%. We've just sent a correcting email out. Our apologies for any confusion.
Regarding the twitter post, to be honest we didn't think we had any savers following us on twitter. We tend to use this as a marketing tool. Now we know that we have savers following us there, we will be more vigilant to what we post.
Many thanks
Richard
