And the other place is back now.
Edit: Spoke too soon. Can't log in, which may explain why there's nothing new to read except two posts from FC.

"nginx ... there's more configuration work to do" .... Finally get to it, and log in, "There is a serious error and the page cannot be rendered" Sigh. Edit: A day later, I can see the "We're back up!" banner on the new forum, then it immediately goes to "There is a serious error and the page cannot be rendered" again. Can anyone else see this new fangled forum, other than FC's staff?

Just got back from caravan trip to discover official forum still bust, new cashback offer (and presumably unfunded loans, which I missed .. all my fault then), and website still playing up at auction ends. Oh dear.

No problem viewing the forum, but the blind designer of the new style & the management which approved it should no longer be employed.

Current response times would suggest that they are using a clockwork computer!

I think the whole site is terminally ill not just the forum, it appears to have gone t**s up after auction 5677, which vindicates my post under the thread “Website worse than ever after update” earlier this afternoon. FC is a laughing stock, unfortunately they’re charged with holding other people’s money so it’s no laughing matter therefore it’s time for lenders to start raising complaints through channels other than this forum.

5677 was caused by 5678 finishing 1 whole minute later. Who is the genius that is stacking loans up with 1 minute gaps when FC (and presumably most of their addicts/customers) know that there is a likelihood that the site will need to take a big long breather to recover from the hammering? Give it 5 minutes at least! 5684 went all "502 Bad Gateway" at the end too.

There have been at least two occasions when loans finished simultaneously too. FC's arrogance in not acknowledging that this kind of situation is happening, then doing something to avoid it is astonishing .... no it isn't, not any more. It has been brought up before. They don't take kindly to criticism.
While I am on, did something strange happen with 5684 (the Printer) about 70 minutes before the auction end? There was I with a cushion of about £2000 before my bids needed lowering. I spent two minutes with my nice lady gardener, and when I returned the auction was ended an hour or so early with me bid out by 0.2%! Curses!!!!! Ten minutes later the auction was back live, and I got back in again (ending with what I wanted at a slightly lower rate than hoped, but decent for a A, with cashback).
edit: PS 5684 was OK at the (real) end. Just read your post mikeb

They're doing this on an almost daily basis. But sometimes one of the auctions ends early so the crunch never actually comes.

This has happened before as well. I thought I had winning bids in an auction that had ended early, but later I found the auction had been restarted and I'd been knocked out.
