According to the banner, the beads are being restrung and polished tonight, so it may all get better soon. Seems they've forgotten to put all the beads back. Unable to sell anything on secondary market and one of my loan parts for sale says:" Time Left -44m -1s" Aah! They must have noticed - whole thing is down now!

Ah, but they did manage to lose the 'site will be down' thread off their forum, so I guess that counts as' everything fixed'. Methinks the ostrich is going to need a deeper sandpit before long.

Overloaded server. Overnight maintenance, overran. Overwrought lenders searching on this forum and "over there" for information, but not overburdened with official responses. It'll all be over soon! Firefox can't even access the "holding.fundingcircle.com" redirection site which looks like it should be serving up a "Go away! It's dead!" message. Over and out.

I can log in but beyond that I get a 500 error.
Poor infrastructure, poor software design and a lack of proper testing. For a financial institution this is wholly unacceptable, I would say that it was totally amateurish but that would be unfair on the amateurs who actually tend to take more care of their products than FC seem to.
At the moment FC get away with it because they are minnows in the financial as a whole and so issues like this are not reported in the national media, if it was one of the large institutions there would now be calls for compensation.

"I.T. Meltdown as 'glitch' hits millions of RBS customers" has a bigger headline impact than "A few thousand FC customers wade through treacle for 7 days before being locked out of website for a bit, causing much tutting and mumbling" Anyway, it's back up now! Looks like no overnight payment run occurred either, but that's probably to be expected.

It's 'sort of back' .. still got 'bad gateway' and slow pages a lot of the time. Methinks it'll be back down for 'more maintenance' tonight, unless they daren't because they are too far behind on the payment processing, and tax returns.
If it t'was me running the systems folks they'd all be well b*llocked for failing to update the customers with the status, which is a much worse crime than messing up the fix. Fc uptime isn't really that bad (we used to aim for 99.6% iirc, back before cloud servers and backup-everythings), but the quality when it is up has a few ongoing niggles. Whether that's FC, or their server farm supplier, is hard to tell.

The system might be "up" but the tax statements are still not working.
I send them a daily email asking when they will be back but never get the courtesy of a response.
Absolute pits of a company.

Even after the maintenance there are still too many problems for a site that handles other people’s money. I made a number of comments on the old forum about the quality of FC’s IT and was castigated for doing so, I don’t want to appear to be a smart *ss but I’ve been proved right and I’m no IT geek.

well I am an IT geek (was, maybe) and I agree with you. way too much dumping stuff into live systems and praying for success. I finally got fed up with pointing out bits of their website which are broken, wobbly, or just plain dumb, since little seems to result. they need to buy some serious IT talent, instead of more finance/marketing gurus... IMHO, of course.

To be honest wouldn't even need much IT talent just a bit of common sense. Particularly on the front end most of the issues are obvious. And as you say lots reported on the official forum where most sit with no answer or action.
While the performance issues may be more difficult to sort out the look and feel and reporting shouldn't really be a challenge. Clearly not seen as a priority which is a pity.

I see their CTO breezed in (to 'the other place'), and back out, without making a lasting impact .. but then his 'all nighter' doesn't seem to have cured the problem yet, so maybe he's doing it again. One hopes so .. 'connection to server reset' in the middle of an auction is still frustrating, even when the borrower may turn out to be another trumpet-unmaker.

The site is worse than ever today, “this page cannot be displayed”, unable to sign out etc., etc. I’ve checked with other family members and not all loan parts offered for sale are showing on the loan part for sale page, in other words how do you sell anything?
Consequently I have taken up the issue with FC and await a response, I suggest that lenders keep a close eye on their accounts.

You never know he might take the advice a few posters gave in the other place be a regular contributor once the crisis is over. I am not terribly optimistic but it would lead to a better site if he did.

I have taken the view that it is just too risky doing anything on the site until it is stable again. Thanks for the update I'll stay away for a while longer.

I had a whole bunch of stuff for sale and some of it appears to have sold in the last couple of hours, including a couple large ones which have been stuck for awhile. Only hope FC aren't taking the proverbial and in reality only my money has vanished!!!
