I'm of the opinion that a potential 3.4% return in two weeks isn't to be sniffed at! Even if it emerges that manual SM buyer aren't prepared to pay any premium at all for E loan parts bought at MBR (so they can only be moved along at par to Autobidders), Baz** and co are still looking at 1.5% per month, less Flaming Cocktails' 0.25% sale fee. If they sell at par after the first payment, that's 1.25% return in a month which is still handy. Until supply catches up with demand, I think we'll continue to see E band loans being hoovered up very quickly. I think supply will quickly out strip supply when they start flooding the market - much like the property loans when they first launched. With E band excluded from autobidders there isn't the same safety net. But I agree, for now it's a no brainer and time to make hay while the sun shines......

It won't be long before the majority of Autobidders set a rate for E band loans, even though they're excluded initially until they do

I wonder if the MBR of 18.2% was set to ensure that the early flipped parts still has a good rate after a 3% premium?

Much bigger E just launched: £168k. Will be interesting to see how the bidding pans out on this one and whether it all still ends up at MBR...

I'm wondering why this has been categorised as an E. The firm has a good bank balance, has been trading for 34 years and has an excellent credit score. Very strange. I must be missing something. Some A stars look worse on paper.

And another tiddler Now pulled?
"This loan is being delisted due to British Business Bank funding being incorrectly applied. It will be relisted again shortly. Thanks, FC"

Some A stars look worse on paper. One almost has to wonder how consistent the E rating will be.... will future E rated loans be anything like these initial ones?

FC have long been accused (by GSV amoung others iirc) of fiddling with the criteria for each band intermittently in order to give the impression of knowing what they are doing.
Eg. If a risk band is well below its expected default rate; let in a bunch of riskier loans and vice versa...
I'm sure GSV would do a better job of explaiing than I and probably have something to back it up with.

There are over 100 parts on the SM at present for 13907 E. Can any of you say how they are moving? There were a couple of 2.8% parts listed earlier and they've both gone. Now just 4 parts at 2.9% and the rest still at the full 3%. That suggests buyers must be biting; the big flippers usually are quite happy to undercut each other quickly when their parts aren't moving. Or somebody tried undercutting, found they still didn't shift quickly, so withdrew them and went back to full-price.
