What more can I say, must be a record.
I don't have time to look through this lot in detail. Hopefully if nothing else it will push up rates on the secondary market

Not sure I follow the logic there. Isn't it more likely to push up rates available on the primary market and therefore depress appetite (and rates) for the secondary market ?

depends what he meant by rates .. higher Buyer rates are likely to result, hence lower mark ups and selling prices. good for buyers, bad for sellers.

well loan application (4730) might be a looker. Seen the company name ? Had to laugh, not entirely sure how they get away with that. I wonder whether that is what they have plastered on the front of the premises.

We'd better check which businesses would be capable of laundering euphoniums, cornets and trombones. There are some which could serve up cornets.....

98 loans. Of which I see one with All Asset security. Not a great hit rate for the security side of things.
Already starting to see the bounce-back of loans that had ended with the usual "Rate was too high" (this one on a loan which was pushed to Minimum Bid Rate, therefore could not have been cheaper, and the business would have known this at the point of applying), "Borrower couldn't decide if they wanted the loan they applied for", "Borrower did not tell us in time, funds returned" ... etc.
So of these 98 loans, how many are going to turn into ACTUAL loans?
I'm beginning to come round to the theory that the volume of loans is being inflated by speculative loan applications by businesses, and by the alleged practice of creating loans "on behalf of" companies that turn out not to really have asked for them/want them.
Great milestone, 100 live loans, but is it real? Or is it just "Never mind the quality, feel the width"?

"Never mind the quality, feel the width" has definitely become the motto of the P2B site we’re discussing here.

I guessed right, the artificially created 100 loan milestone which will, no doubt, feature large in the next blog entry "No one is leaving this office until we have 100 loans up. More loans! More loans! Make it happen! I demand title-puns for these loans!" "But Sir: The computer! It cannot take any more!" "More Loans dammit!" (I'm sure it wasn't really like that ...)

Prepare for a batch of comments: Rejected: "The borrower is shocked to find that his loan was among the 100 that didn't get pushed down to minimum bid rate, and so is off looking elsewhere"

You can click on the 'BBCode' tab under the edit box, move the cursor back to where you want it, and then click back to the 'Preview' tab. That fixes it.
