The previous poll only went up to £9k and nearly half of respondents said more than that, so we don't know how much more. Sorry to repeat the poll.

Well the revised range brackets did not work well! I have obviously seriously underestimated the amounts some people want to invest (if everyone is being honest). That may explain why the loans go so quickly.

Considering there are a lot of single pbl investments of 5 figures I reckon the poll result could well be thruthful.

I would be more interested in the average amount lenders are willing to invest in each loan as relevant to any capping debate. Have we done that one yet? I accept that this depends on the loan details, but on a standard straightforward proposition. Three months after the general election and we're all apparently desperate to vote on something (and this is cheaper than joining the Labour party & then possibly getting disenfranchised as too left or right wing)

You kinda get used to them after a while, eventually it'll be the same for the Romanians.

Before P2P, savers put a guinea in a piggy bank, now they smash the banks to become guinea pigs.

Do we have to pay by Czech? Only if you're an Arsenal fan.

Ready & able are one thing....the willing will depend on the trust structure for now.. Precisely. I'm very new to the whole P2P thing and I am taking it slowly as I am still assessing true risk. I have so far taken two 10,000 chunks on SS and have around 500,000 I want to get invested anywhere other than in banks. So yes, I suspect you have underestimated just how much serious cash is floating around looking for a home.
And it's not really surprising considering I am being offered more in interest on a single 10,000 Pound risk than I am on a 100,000 sitting safely (?) in my bank.

Only 75000 is safe even in a bank. If I were you I would spread your money as thinly as possible, across platforms and across loans within platforms. In time you should be able to get, say, 50 x 10,000 then you would be able to sustain a few total losses and/or several haircuts and still be ahead of the bank option. Actually a total loss on an asset backed loan is pretty unlikely barring fraud.

Fraud - which is why we employ the best lawyers. Bad Valuations - which is why we only use the best valuers with comprehensive experience in short term bridging and with extensive PI coverage.

"How much do you have ready willing and able to invest?"
It may seem obvious to some, so excuse my ignorance, but is the poll asking how much on top of what we already have invested (i.e. we have ready and able) or how much altogether are we willing to invest (in SS)? I answered as if for the former.
