A bit more underwriting now -- £770k -- but still a long way to go. (£1.2M still needed.) Since the auction was set up with a short deadline -- the close of business on Friday -- I presume AC have some more underwriters on standby. I haven't figured out why the auction is set to end Friday afternoon rather than Monday morning. Surely they're not planning to draw down at 1800 on Friday, or during the weekend, so why not leave it available through the weekend in the hope that more small lenders would bid and relieve some of the pressure on the underwriters? Maybe there will still be the availability to bid after close to take out underwriting. That's certainly a possibility. Have they done that before? In any case, I wouldn't have thought they could close the auction without it being fully funded. Unless a whole lot of underwriting money arrives tomorrow -- £1.17M still required -- it looks like the 'end' time of this auction will have to be extended.

IIRC, provided they have the loan fully funded with underwriting then bids are still accepted. Probably each loan is treated differently. I'll probably wait for the aftermarket on this one anyway.

Now has over £1.8m underwritten and is fully funded. With a short auction and 'quick' drawdown indicated in the details, I'm hopeful this one won't be in limbo for too long.

I didn't participate in the original auction due to concerns over the draw down timescale. May be some loan parts appearing soon on the aftermarket?

I hear it may be drawndown tomorrow. Where did you get the info? An Assetz Capital email asking me to settle a shadow bid.

Excuse me asking but what is a shadow bid? If you have invested over 10k in Assetz Capital you can get get a showdown bid account limit where you can make unfunded bids that have to be funded before drawdown, but not when you make the bid.

Must be more to the criteria than a £10K investment as I have never seen the shadow bid option appear in any auction. Do you have to apply for it?

Excuse me asking but what is a shadow bid? Contrary to other replies you might receive, I think you will find that this term refers to any bids made by one or more of the nine Nazgûl (a.k.a. Ring Wraiths). When buying on the secondary market you should be particularly vigilant to ensure you do not pick up a loan part that was a Shadow Bid: otherwise you too will find yourself bound to the One Ring and be inexorably seduced by its power. P.S. I hear that a ransom fee of £10k may be sufficient to set you free from its bonds.
