so just made my first dip into FC for a while: umm, there website is struggling. Just tried making a bid on a loan and its taking forever to come back.
Edit: In fact its never come back. Been unable to bid on that loan. Or of course it has q'd two bids somewhere in the system.

Seems to me that a) it is working more fluently this lunchtime and b) Live Update function is either not working or disabled. Maybe that feature, indeed a beta which we are testing on the live site, was causing the extra stress?
EDIT Wrong! Just saw it flicker into life.

Secondary-market page also having some problems again ... Poking in some filter requirements, I ticked the "With Asset Security" box, among other options, and the list of loan parts I was shown was uncharacteristically large ... needless to say they weren't asset secured.
A little while back, ticking the "Loans I don't have exposure to" box showed me loans that I, ummm ... had exposure to ...
Tip: Do visually check what it's giving you, as sometimes it just doesn't do what it says on the tin.

Site is seriously broken again - in the other direction now, bids are just NOT falling out (eg 4783, iirc, has 56k of accepted, well 'in', bids on a 45k auction). Can't complain that 'fallen out funds not returned to my account', since the funds haven't fallen out .. despite there being 11k or so of undercutting bids (I didn't believe 14.4% would stick for long, but they are still in!). This is ludicrous .. I've hung, drawn, and quartered better programmers than this (they at least understood the concept of testing, even if they didn't do it very well).
At least them as (only one s this time!) loads the canons seem aware of the problem now .. they were still loading new auctions (to get back to the magic 100?) at 8PM.

Yep, back at 1AM they say, but I won't be waiting up... Actually it was not too bad today (30th that is), after a disastrous start (auctions =all= stuck from about 8:30 to 9:30 AM), so they may be getting on top of it .. OTOH they may just be about to do what you say and break it more. They are supposed to be installing the extra hardware they've spent the last 6 months (read the threads) telling me wasn't needed. I do agree their code is broken too (7 hours to process loan payments? Come on even a Trash80 could do it that fast!), but the hardware was definitely struggling during big/popular auction closes (ably assisted by bid-bots).
Still, things may be picking up - their CTO is out of the closet, talking on the forum, (briefly), they have defaulted a BUNCH of zombie loans (and may even go get the pounds of flesh), so maybe there's hope. If not, there are plenty of new kids on the P2P block, who'll have a shining example of how not to do it.

No noticeable improvement after last night’s maintenance, “bad gateway”, “this page cannot be displayed” etc., etc. continue to be the norm.
Absolutely outrageous for a financial website.

404: This page is not found, if you followed a link on our site, contact us. Press back to try that again ...
And an occasional "You have £0.00 of available funds, bid now."
No I don't, and if I did, I couldn't.
Let's hope for better in the 2nd stage of migration.

Help, I can't log out - I'm trapped in FC-land! Are you still stuck, valerieb? Enough air and water? Should we organise a rescue mission? Come on folks, this could be serious.

We should launch the Black Pig, captain, and sail to Valerie's rescue. But where is FC land? If it is a small but chaotic island peopled by bands of IT staff with patches over their eyes as well as their code then we could save the day. But if Valerie is trapped in a land-locked place then there is probably little opportunity for a strictly maritime superhero, even if we enlisted Mermaid Man and the moderately powerful Barnacle Boy.

24 hours and still no news. blender you're right, the boat's useless. It could be inland. We need a helicopter or autogyro to be on the safe side. If only she could send us some kind of sign. Those devilish IT people with patches on their eyes as well as their code have probably got her tied to a terminal somewhere, forcing her to show them how to make the website work properly.
My god! I got an email about that just the other day. An invitation to their lair for some kind of experimentational purpose. Here it is....
Funding Circle Invitation for User Testing
we would like to extend the opportunity for investors to put forward their opinions on a new concept we are undertaking. This will involve a 1 hour user-testing interview at our office in Central London on one of the following dates:
It's probably like that scene in The Ipcress File where Michael Caine has to watch the disturbing film, or will result in the creation of revolting mutants like in The Island of Dr. Moreau. Poor valerieb might have been turned into some kind of revolting mutant hag. Oh the horror, the horror.
EDIT On a brighter note, this post has turned me from 'New Member' into 'Junior Member'.

There was I with my literary references to Captain Pugwash and Spongebob Squarepants and I get trumped with a reference to one of H G Wells more obscure fictions about 'progress'. Yes the thought of poor ValerieB alone at night on that island where dangerously roam the muto-creatures, the discarded products of experimental coding patches, is too much to bear. The island of Dr. F. C. Moreau it is, and now Barnacle Boy has joined us on this mission, though of course not revealing his true identity (Oops!). Clever how he gets changed in a handbag. Off we go!

I read that as 'bid bots' but now I see what you meant .. if they can't find central london (with both hands and a big mirror^h^h^h^h^h^h^h map) they fail the 'user testing', and don't get given bidding rights?? OTOH maybe those are just the sort of users FC is set up to service (well maybe not 4%, but an undiscerning MBR bid should be OK).
