I have quite a few thousand in this one due to having too many irons in various fires. Anyway I have to say that I will be surprised if this geyser doesn't show Lendy a few more stalling tactics. After doing some digging I fully expect Lendy to get the run around and end up being so embarrassed they then accept a paltry offer to be rid of it. One thing for sure is that after doing my digging I would never ever have lent this guy a packet of fags so what were Lendy thinking.

We flagged this up publicly almost as soon as the loans started*, so why did so many people throw money into them? Everybody should do some DD to reveal and expose untrustworthy borrowers and inept platform operatives, to minimise their own losses. In many cases, lenders didn't.
* Lendy, in their arrogance, publicly posted somewhere on this forum, that it wasn't the borrower's "record" that mattered - it was the security. They couldn't even get that realistically right, as in some other loans.
I'm off for a banana.

We could of course 'pass the parcel' with ease back then. I recall selling (with ease) the day The Times broke the story.

Yes, we were assured it was the security that mattered, this could be sold and there was a good rental income from the tenant, was there also a personal guarantee ?

I avoided investing in these 2 loans thanks to reading the alarm bells that were posted on this board. i don't stand to lose anything in these loans but in many ways that's not a comfort. I think all LY members lose out here whether they're personally invested in these loans or not. ISTM that all p2p sites, including LY, are very sloppy. They're wide open to determined fraudsters and charlatans. A soft touch. Some platforms don't even seem to care, they simply say oh well defaults happen, make sure you're diversified and we'll all be ok. On to the next one....

For those of us who were not savvy enough to steer clear of this one, and who did not pick up the story of a case against the Coop bank, is it possible to steer us to a website which will give us the gory details of what has happened in the past with this borrower?

There is an agricultural forum which may be of assistance.

Perhaps you had intended to invest £1 so you would be copied in to all comunications on the loan, but owing to being inebriated you accidentally bought £100. It's an easy mistake to make. On my phone, as soon as I type a 1 it auto fills the field with 100 because that's my usual amount to sell loan parts in.
