Only 4 unfilled loans left, 3 at 99%, looks like 17290 will be 'Billy no mates' very shortly.

It seems pretty clear what the platform's strategy is here with this game of chicken / cutting off alternative food sources. Phishing for phools?

I'm not so sure about that, FC still need to appeal to lenders as well as borrowers and it doesn't exactly inspire confidence for new lenders to see only one loan available. Also I'm sure that as a major attraction from a borrowers point of view is the speed that loans are processed they wouldn't be too chuffed if they thought that their loan was being deliberately held back. Anyway at least 17290 got some company albeit only for a minute or so.

FC are offering lower rates than elsewhere and still have millions of punters money in autobid that they can push towards any loan that they rate and approve. They didn't release any loans on a slow Monday morning but the lenders (autobiddies) are baying for more. Clearly it is not good news for the active lenders on this site. I think we can kiss goodbye to 2% cash back except in extremis. If I were a borrower I wouldn't bother looking at those other p2p sites!

Killing the SM may be the worst decision of all, and we'll never quite know whether they did it accidentally or on purpose.
Meanwhile, looks like they may have to break their own rule by taking more than 20% of a loan on Thursday.

There will be people holding off until the end in case something more appealing comes along in the interim (and possibly flippers recycling their proceeds), so I expect a "last minute rush" of sorts. Also the first tranche of the loan that it is replacing wasn't paid back immediately after raising the first tranche of this, so providing FC get it paid back before the deadline some of the proceeds are likely to be reinvested in the new loan. Repayments may also get the 3rd tranche, which I expect to be £200,000-£250,000, away. But judging by the lack of appetite for this loan I can see the remaining £1.5m struggling.

It's been withdrawn!! "This loan tranche is being delisted as due to a technical error, the first loan has not yet been repaid. We will relist this tranche once the first loan has been repaid. Thanks, FC." Make of that what you will (and I'm sure you will).

Indeed, a dog barking into an infinite void of apathy.
