With about £13k of the yacht loan still available right now, I think we can expect to see a fastest finger scrum tomorrow when the bidding restriction is lifted.
I thought the restriction was due to be lifted at 11 am this morning ... yet at 10:58 when I logged in it was already full with bids over £100 having been made. What time was the restriction lifted ? The loan page said that the restriction was supposed to be lifted at 1100. (I think that message automatically is created when the loan goes live, because in the past when a loan has been a bit slow to appear I've seen the message say the restriction would be lifted at xx02 the following day.) I logged in at about 1045 to find about £1k left, and managed to put the last of my available cash -- having made a withdrawal earlier in the week after the power boat fiasco -- into the yacht loan. By the time I did that, other bids had come in and there was only about £500 left to fund so there didn't seem to be any point in posting a message here to say the restriction had been lifted early. IIRC, this isn't the first time this has happened -- and that's a bit of a surprise to me as I would have expected the process to happen automatically at the appointed hour.

I dont think they are automatic there loans as have been on before 11 and loans that were meant to be listed have been up and been on after 11 and still not up so guess that bit is still manual, or very bad programming

I dont think they are automatic there loans as have been on before 11 and loans that were meant to be listed have been up and been on after 11 and still not up so guess that bit is still manual, or very bad programming If they are manually triggered -- and the evidence seems to suggest that they are -- then I can understand that sometimes they might be late. But why would they ever be early? If the person who's going to push the button is ready early, why don't they just wait until the pre-announced time before pressing the button? Can you imagine the howls and complaints that would arise if the opening of a loan for funding were to happen early? Actually, I think I can, because I think it happened once. And it was not a pleasant experience!
