fundingsecure Thanks for the clear summary of the 6 loans coming up tomorrow 11th Dec. Shame I had already handwritten a summary. When the new loans are a rollover from a previous loan, can you identify the old loan please with its Loan Id. It is not always clear which the old loan is nor whether I am actually holding any to be rolled over. eg Many Railway loans, some held, some not. Thanks

Rogerbu,
If you check the email that is sent out (or the link on here to "More details") you can find the old loan referred to in the section entitled "Roll-Over Requests"
Hope this helps

It would also be very helpful if you could add a note on each loan Preview page along the lines "This loan will go live at XX.00am on YYth Dec" so that we don't have to keep flipping between emails / forum postings to know. Thanks
[Also the bid limit that applies!]

I'm in one of the three loans being renewed at 1100 today -- less than ten minutes from now -- but I still seem to be holding my old position.
Isn't it normal that the original loan would have been repaid by now in preparation for the renewal?
Am I the only one with this problem?

Isn't it normal that the original loan would have been repaid by now in preparation for the renewal? Am I the only one with this problem? Snap - for the power boats loan, this time round the transactions indicate a repayment, but in reality they did not repay and held on to the cash (it did not appear in my balance) because I opted in to roll over. This change may be a result of my screw-up. A week or two ago, I chose to rollover some loan - but forgot I had done so....and so when the repayment came into my FS account, I requested it be withdrawn....and yet my roll-over request was respected, so I ended up with a negative balance. To which my first thought was - well if I opted to rollover then why did you give me my cash back? ;-)

My repayment has been dealt with. It was received into my account about the same time I posted my previous message.

I see there is another two this afternoon As it happens, simultaneous loan releases probably increases your chances of getting something - half the crowd will be distracted trying to invest in the other loan for the first few seconds.

No. I used to get a piece of both loans, now it's quite feasible (and has already happened) that if you happen to go for the wrong loan first you can end up with neither.

Of course, jonno , there are no guarantees - but surely you can see that if there are more loans at the same time then you are competing with fewer people on any given loan? On balance you'll get the "right" loan half the time (assuming at most 2 concurrent loans, obvs). I suspect the reason more people are struggling is more to do with (i) more lenders, (ii) much more likely - busier primary market activity due to the new secondary market availability. I now buy many more loans on the PM because I suspect that I can sell it later. Oh - and I also suspect internet connection / traffic / PC has a lot to do with it - I struggle to compete on my smart-phone on 4G, but on the laptop on ADSL seems OK.

I appreciate that theoretically you're right, but that only works on a level playing field. You've succinctly summed up why theory doesn't equate to practice with your observations around internet connectivity/speed.
