How do you know that this is the SM and not the residue not sold on pre-funding? Even if you saw the loans list without it after launch they may have taken it off-line to fix the duplication error. It's all part of the same thing (ie. available to buy after the initial pre-funded allocation) That was my point. It would be more interesting if it was SM rather than residue as it might mean over enthusiastic gamers had their fingers burnt, but AFAIK there is no way to distinguish.

£2.3 million now on the SM... Ooops! How do you know that this is the SM and not the residue not sold on pre-funding? Even if you saw the loans list without it after launch they may have taken it off-line to fix the duplication error. That is a good observation I'd not thought of. We all got 100% allocation, so likely there was residual to sell

Keep in mind that any loan that has availability is not shown in the "Live Loan" list as it is shown in the "Available Loans" list. This is the normal behaviour of the website.

I wonder if someone massively oversubscribed and now desperately hoping they clear that £2mill before they need to settle their account Has anyone sold any yet? Or is any sales stuck behind the £1.6m availability? I sold a £2k part (bought in error when I gave up on the spinny thing and clicked to buy again) and it went pretty quickly. Unless SS have changed their policy, the huge availability from the initial offering will end up queued behind any parts offered up for sale by individual lenders. That would explain why SteveT's part sold as quickly as it did.

Yes you are right, my loan part sold in minutes, if not seconds.

Nice work to whoever took the last £1,237,622.61 in a single part.

Looking at this about midnight last night, I thought I won't bother my partner because she looks tired, I'll talk to her about buying some in the morning. With people buying over a million in one hit, it's clear that this attitude is not going to be working on SS. I suppose I might be being a hypocrite by suggesting that a limit should apply, hypocritical because certain sites that do this are not worth my effort. Coffee.......

There's a decent chance much of this was taken off the SM by SS themselves and will reappear in chunks over the coming days.

Stevet was right, £1.2m is back
I wonder if they wanted to go home late last night and can't leave the new website unattended?

Stevet was right, £1.2m is back I wonder if they wanted to go home late last night and can't leave the new website unattended? Or someone really chanced their arm and wanted 1 nights interest but hoped to offload it all before they needed to pay the capital. Ive not had any coffee yet, but I think 1m is a little over £300 a night in interest, so if they could sell it all on the SM before the end of tomorrow that wouldn't be too bad a return for now real money being invested. Obviously if they cannot sell it all they could come unstuck in a big way. edit: crossed with matte.... Really need coffee!

73 has yet to appear on the "live loans" page, which makes me think that it has not sold out yet, and that large £1.2m taken on and off the site was done by SS themselves

I cannot remember if I rethought or I fell asleep . . . . . . prepare a coffee for me too please.
