'I just hope it was SS taking it off and putting it back on again rather than a chancer called "m************3" getting to earn £287 overnight interest for doing nowt.'
Couldn't agree more. Anything that damages SS damages me and every other SS client.
On the other hand, I don't really understand how the underwriting scheme works. Perhaps heavy hitters get any unused portions for taking the lion's share if required...

I would think it would be fairly obvious if someone had done it and not funded the account then SS could easily cancel the interest payment, if like ablender said it was someone with the money then up to them I guess but they would now own the full loan amount left so not a issue for SS as they have got rid of it all. I would think for what ever reason SS did it probably something to do with the computer automatically calculating interest on the loan so is easier for them if it was not there when the calculations were done

If a "normal" lender bought the lot and then put it back on the SM a few hours later, all subsequent sellers would be behind them in the queue. That didn't appear to be the case yesterday (at least one report that a small sale still went through quickly) so it can only be SS / underwriting.

Yes, it seems not only bots but even loans have to sleep these days.

Now you see it...now you don't. The magical disappearing and reappearing loan! This time it was j*************j who invested £811,899.74 in one lump. Unless it was savingstream who initiated that -- which seems rather unlikely -- how long it will take SS to determine whether or not it's a genuine investment and undo it if it isn't? Maybe they need to impose a maximum purchase/holding amount limit and insist that anyone who wants to invest more than that in a given loan must make an arrangement directly through SS.

I think that it is only fair that a rota is set up, so we all get to hold this loan for a few hours either side of midnight. We could all do with an extra few hundred quid in our account. Bags, I'm next

It didn't go until when the loan was completely hoovered this evening. Does this prove anything? If you are able to buy a one million loan out of BACS credit you must have a one million loan portfolio on SS. Why would you care for stealing few hundreds quids in interests? savingstream

someone accidentally bought over £800k this morning. It will be unwound and put back up for sale later on tonight when IT can have a look at it...

I put something up for sale on the SM and it gets bought. Then the buyer decides it was all a bit of a mistake and I have to take it back?
