What interested me was that the parts all sold instantly - great liquidity! - I mean by the time I had gone back to the Loans page , each part I had put up for sale had already gone down to £0 available - in seconds. I couldn't understand how a human could have seen it, typed in the amount they wanted and completed the captcha puzzle in those few seconds it took my page to refresh. I made a point of checking the investor activity to see who the buyer was each time. With the exception of 2 parts, all were snapped up in seconds by m********3. Some people have reported that they don't get the pictures every time, and that seems to be necessary for success -- except perhaps at 3am, though I'm not convinced parts worth having last much longer at that hour. The only parts I can remember seeing last for more than 20 seconds at any time of day seem to have been tiny bits of shrapnel or belong to an overdue loan -- but I don't watch all the time and I could have missed something easily enough. That particular investor does seem to have a very good track record. Maybe their internet connection is particularly good, or they're particularly good at the keyboard, or they have a skill that most of us don't. Whatever the reason, I find it rather discouraging. I usually use incognito mode for financial stuff, and I was getting the pictures every time - the first time I tried it in normal mode I didn't get the picture.

Methinks the person who is claiming to be m********3 is telling a few porkies one way or another. Either they are not that person, (more than likely), or they have found an automated way around the captcha system.

For the past 3 or 4 days, I've had nothing but pictures - and they were getting more complex with up to 4 trees or rivers to tick. I'd tried keeping the cache, clearing the cache, resetting the router ... but still pictures.
Then, this morning, I thought I'd give Chrome a go (rather than MS Edge) and straight off got 3 free goes before the pictures started again.
So, do you more technical out there understand how it works? I'd assumed it was IP address or a cookie (although I'm sure that robots can change both very easily)
confused, but at least managed to buy something this morning

If you wanna know about 'safe as houses' ask the Spanish or Irish. While it's true that Dublin property prices dumped by between 50 and 60%, this was on the back of massive and I mean massive construction projects. At one point, 12% of the Irish gdp was in the construction sector. I'm sure a correction is around the corner in the UK but the situation here is very different. Even with a possible reduction in btl investment, there is still massive demand and a more hostile legislative regime to construction. The last uk slump was about 25% (source: Halifax property index) and there's nothing to suggest it will be that bad, let alone worse. I'd rather be in property than equities at the moment but I do wish I'd bought bitcoin a few years ago. . .

I'd rather be "well spread around" .. obviously including some property, or I wouldn't be at SS. My point was just that property is not always 'as safe as houses'. I don't foresee a 60% crash here either, but neither would I rate it as flat impossible, just need a bit of careful teeing up to make it happen.... drop planning regs, hike interest rates a lot, send all immigrants home, minor plague .. 8>.

Before P2P, savers put a guinea in a piggy bank, now they smash the banks to become guinea pigs.

Two of those possibilities would be very bad, but the thought of JC becoming PM, abolishing the monarchy and having DA as his first lady would be catacylsmic.

If you have to click you are (probably) too late anyway.

Finally found some boxes to tick. The ticking was quite easy, but some of the pictures were a bit dodgy: - spot the fruit juice - straightforward
- spot the grass - wasn't certain if the hippy smoking the Moroccan woodbine counted, or the police informer
- spot the car - do CDV's count?
Overall managed to get past 2, giving me the chance to buy loans with a combined value of 4p.
Happy days

I now have to click on at least 3 pictures before I have any chance on the SM. No chance of me picking anything up now, just about given up Picked a few bits up when I had a free pass but not even after a break from the savingstream website seems to help

This morning I switched on an alert so that I would get pinged when a loan appeared. There were quite a few during the day, but every time I clicked on the loan it already said £0 available. Usually I then had to solve reCaptcha puzzles, even though I was already too late, otherwise I could not get back to the loans. have now switched off the alert and am waiting for the next pre-funded loan.

It's been mentioned before; google reCAPTCHA does seem to reset (at Midnight from my experience). Also when you do start to get the pictures try another browser, as that seems to give you a little extra time without the pics.
