Can this one be written off as a bad debt please. No payment since Feb of last year - for whatever reason it clearly is not looking great - obviously continue to chase the debt please but the end of the tax year looms and I'm sure there are people with more cash than me in this one ! I have already asked them to make this bad debt. On any metric this should have been defaulted about 9 months ago. Apparently they are going to review before end of financial year.

Apparently "strong offers" have been received for the security. I'm a little sceptical.

Hi lendingcrowd, I've just received the most recent update. The first payment for this "B" rated loan was due, and paid on the 12th September 2015. They made the next payment on time, the following three payments were late, with the last payment received on the 29th January 2016. Out of twenty four scheduled payments they made five. Please can you explain the "loan payments for * * * M********** Ltd are now 120 days overdue...." comment? Please can you also explain how and why it has taken Lending Crowd roughly 18 months (ie closer to 547 days) to default the loan? Many thanks, RM

From Rightmove:
"This property has been removed by the agent. It may be sold or temporarily removed from the market"
From Zoopla:
"Previously listed for sale on 2nd Dec 2016 £625,000 - 4 bed detached house"
I can't see that the price was ever dropped in January (as claimed by LC). It's also no longer listed on Zoopla or Rightmove, so one would have to question how much effort Mr SJC is putting into selling it - I am, of course, assuming that he hasn't removed the listings due to having accepted an offer (lolz).

I'm not on LC but you could try www.home.co.uk for the price history.

According to www.home.co.uk the property is Sold STC - so let's hope lending crowd are well aware of this. The price history does show they dropped the asking price from £650,000 to £625,000 in Jan 2017.

Latest comment from LC
The first charge holder of the Guarantor's property has gained a repossession order. We would anticipate that matters will now move forward with the sale of the property. We are in close contact with the relative party who are fully aware of our interest in the property via our charging order. We will keep you informed with developments.

On the 15th September I emailed LC asking for an update on this loan. I used the expression "it's been a while", which was polite speak for "it's been a geological era". The response I received was "Thanks for chasing us on this. I have been advised there has been a development - there will be an update posted today / tomorrow".
The actual update, made available on the 21st September, was... underwhelming.
Asset security? Check. Director guaranteed? Check.
Last interest payment? 20160129 (late).
First charge holder action, gaining a repossession order - 20170704.
Current status "wibble" - 20171012
