Anybody else notice that there hasn't been an update on this since April the 11th 2018, and it's now been declared a loss? I don't remember receiving any notification that it had been written off (/ declared a loss if there's any difference).

So I gave them a nudge. Amazingly enough they received an update this afternoon. Positive news (repayment plan, full repayment expected), an update should be provided on the platform soon.

Am I dreaming? I thought that I’d just read an update saying that LC had actually recovered some money and it was going to be paid out Honest, I haven’t touched a drop all day

Almost makes me wish I was still with LC - but not quite!

Almost makes me wish I was still with LC - but not quite! I've been with LC for about 20 months and don't have any regrets yet. My "actual rate of return" has been stable (above 9.5%) for long time. More defaults will probably come, but so far LC worked well for me.

Hope the 2nd payment wasn't missed. I'd support changing the locks if he has.

The first repayment was received and distributed in 23Nov, with the promise of 3 more monthly repayments and a final repayment on 31st January 2018 (which I assumed was meant to say 2019).
Never quite made exact sense in terms of dates, but something along the lines of 23Nov, 23Dec, 23Jan and 31Jan ?? Or maybe end of each month ??
Either way, we now appear to be off course again - where’s my next £6.48 ?

Well...considering everything else the guy has ever said turned out to be a load of rubbish I don't know why LC agreed to this. Yes its good to get some recovery but if they had a possession order on a property which would have repaid the loan in full (even if it takes some time to sell) wasn't this the best option for lenders. The guy has had years to settle his debts and just as the bailiffs were coming up the drive he was able to muster up money and delay the eviction. He even owns another consulting business advising on how to stave off creditors and how guarantors for company debts can wriggle out of them. I suspect as the eviction wasn't served then it will expire before the end of January and the whole sorry legal process will have to start again. Whether that happens or not I am not legally able to say, but based on the borrowers past actions I wouldn't be surprised if he did anything to wriggle out of his obligations. If he hasn't been keeping up the repayments agreed then the eviction should be completed immediately and stop letting this person get away with his games. Rule number one with people like this, don't give them an inch they will take a mile. Agreeing to this repayment plan rather than taking possession of the house was giving him a lot of inches and you can be sure he is planning his new line of attack.

The ‘final payment’ should be coming today. I say should....

Yeah, I poked them when the next payment failed to arrive. Apparently "legal action continues" or somesuch.

I chased this one as it'd been ages since they last updated and got a response today- should be some updates in the next couple of weeks - they've had the first of some agreed token payments last week but apparently wont pay out until they've got a whole installment in line with the original schedule. Not sure if I think of that as good news or bad really
