So, here's my situation. Because of the technical issue aforementioned I tried to buy PBL 88 but was unable to. In fact I tried several times but to no avail. This morning I am informed that I have successfully bought all three parts. Only one of which I wanted and only one of which I have funds for. So guys, what should I do? I can't imagine I'm the only one who has experienced this issue. Email SS customer service and let them know the part numbers that you'd like them to cancel (bought in error due to their IT hang-up). I'm confident they'll be happy to help.

Option 2 : Place the parts in this loan or other loans that you wish to sell back on the market.

email them and tell them to cancel all the unwanted purchases made because of their IT cockup.

email them and tell them to cancel all the unwanted purchases made because of their IT cockup. Alternatively, sell something else to resolve the negative balance before SS resolve it for you, and SS might let you keep the extra interest!

Hi Duncan
Do not worry we are well aware of the problems and apologises for any inconvenience caused. If you would like a certain amount only let us know and we can cancel the rest for you. If you are happy to leave it a day or two while it sells on the secondary market then that will sort itself out that way too.
Kind regards,
Customer Services Team

Full marks to savingstream being willing to credit back the duplicated deductions to loan part buyers, but I'm wondering what will happen with parts bought as secondary market funds - ie. funds that were placed back on the market by individuals, rather than underwritten funds, as in PBL027. In order to recredit the funds of the multi-purchases, are those sellers to have their credits withdrawn again? I'd expect it to be exactly the same as in cases where a buyer failed to pay for a purchase within 48 hours - the loan part would be cancelled and the amount become available again (in effect SS themselves own that part of the loan until it sells). For the period until the loan is next fully subscribed, the total "available" of that loan would be more than the total of the "selling" loan parts of that loan.

Credit to SS. Just had an email from Tim. He has sorted my problem out Me too. Great service yet again. Every organisation has process / IT hiccups and the like, it is how they are dealt with in terms of customer service that makes all the difference.
