Having read the report, seems like a decent & well thought out business idea. Pending answers to some pertinent questions that have been asked on AC's loan page, I think it's a good opportunity to invest?
Would appreciate exchange of thoughts on here, positive & negative, esp from members more experience in equine business field.

I agree with you looks like a good punt and at 12%, a good balance of risk against opportunity. So as they say "put your money where your mouth is" I have had a £1k nibble. However if I don't like the answers to the questions I can always chop it. Hope Andrew has a few more like this coming down the pike in the near future.

I have to say I'm skeptical on this one, whilst the LTV is good the supporting business plan reads overly ambitious, a flag is the use of the 'U' word which invariably means it isn't and talking to a horsey relative it isn't. It also makes a big play on training race and competition horses valued at over £20,000, flaunting numbers does not impress me and the associated land does not appear to have the space nor does the surrounding area appear to have the space to train race horses. Whilst I may go for a small punt, I wont certainly be going for my typical amount.

The 'U' word is 'unique': it tends to be used in desperation by people who are unable to differentiate themselves from the competition when there is no legal protection (i.e. patents) for what they are doing.

Reading the answers to the questions, it now appears to be something different.

Different better? Or different worse? Just different, different neither better nor worse. Having read the answers to questions posed on AC's site, it has somewhat reassured me. I had withdrawn my pre-bid initially but will put a small bid in to dip my toes & monitor the answers to further questions & decide whether to increase it or not. In case of default, the security has enough flexibility (£220k forced sale value) to protect us in case of default. IMHO obviously!

Cue jokes about not backing the wrong horse, etc. I'm sure there's a joke to be had with Weston Super Mare...
