I've been doing it for months; but not for the reason that has arisen here... If an investor sells an entire loan that they have invested in, they'll possibly have many parts in that investment to sell. Every time I see a small loan part come up for sale, I go through the process, knowing full well I probably won't gain that investment part, but after the capture I wait about for a minute and occasionally the next loan part pops up and I knick it (no capture require, as I completed it previously). Yes, there are the occasions where a 1p part has appeared, and I have hovered to then knick a far larger amount (happened in the last hour with PBL61); never occurred to me it me that it was an investor trying to transfer the amount between accounts. Do you keep the available loans page open and the solved captcha at the same time and just refresh the available loans page to see the parts added? Nope; I just stay on the loan page. The individual loan page automatically updates as soon as something becomes available, so as soon as an amount appears I just click on invest then OK.

why put a £1 up before swapping accounts?? Let's say that you want to transfer £1000 from one account to another The idea is on the account with the £1000 (the a/c you want to transfer from) you first sell £1, and then complete the process of buying that £1 on the other account. It doesn't matter if some other investor buys that £1, all that matters is that you complete the process because the recapture stays valid for a couple of minutes. You then place the £1000 on the SM (from the a/c you want to transfer from), and instantly click invest on the other account to "transfer" that amount. Hope that makes sense

Not quite, cooling_dude (and I know you know how to do it). The point is that you don't complete the buying process of the initial £1 in the receiving account. You just go as far as entering the amount of the later transfer and complete the recaptcha. Then when the later transfer is made you immediately click to purchase, confirm OK and you're done in a fraction of a second. If you're worried that someone else might guess what you're doing and also tee up the recaptcha, you could go away and have a cup of tea (or eat dinner or go to bed and come back the next day) then return and re-complete the now expired recaptcha and then do the transfer.

That's exactly what I meant'; when I said "complete the process", I should have added "up to" completing the purchase, not fully completing. It's hard to put the process into a post . Edit: Although the last part of your post never really occurred to me...

Sorry, still confused about which pages need opening
So, loan appears on list of loans page, click on it and takes you to that individual loan page to buy and solve capcha, solve capcha but don't press buy. Does the amount available auto update on that page because I was thinking you would need to go back to the list of loans to see the new amount available?

I have read the amount available updates, but it doesn't for me, so I need to keep refreshing the loans available page in a separate tab, then quickly navigate back. I bought several loan parts last night, without doing any of this, lots was for Sale.

Yes, it does auto-update, and seemingly more quickly than the main loan page.

Thanks, how long does it take for a solved captcha to expire and does that auto update too so you know it's expired and can resolve?

The captcha's expire after about 3-4 mins and its notified my a red warning so you can re-complete - it gets a bit tiresome.....

Does the amount available auto update on that page because I was thinking you would need to go back to the list of loans to see the new amount available? The amount available on the purchase page does auto update but I don't know the frequency. My guess is that it is every few seconds the same as the available loans page. But you don't have to wait. Once you are in a loan purchase page open a new window to see the loan available page. Then you can see both at the same time. You can furiously refresh the loan available page to see immediately when the loan you want to purchase appears. Then complete the purchase on the purchase page. It doesn't matter if the purchase page has actually updated when you do this because the amount is available on the platform regardless of whether the page has updated.

It's tiresome if you are waiting for a particular loan to appear for sale. But I think the original question here was about transferring loan parts between accounts in which case you know when it's going to happen.
