There is a company doing some interesting things property wise in and around Liverpool, Themed hotels, converting office blocks into high-end apartments and renting them out all bills paid at reasonable rates. Wonder if it one of there developments? That is who SS say our borrower is; S******** L***** Hotels, which via a quick search online shows they prominently involved in "Themed hotels". However, I can't see the charge of this property against their companies house profile (unlike their other previous loans with SS - PBL59 & 72) Will do some more digging...

£127,590 on the SM as I type. I should of looked more into the loan before I set the pre-funding, I wanted to keep away from this. Nevermind, I only have a eye watering £100 in it. Wonder if it one of there developments? Why did you want to keep away from it? The loan seems very solid and a proven borrower, am I missing something?

Exactly 100K from SS on the SM, so who else thinks they are sat on a bit more.
Few loans pay back and this will go pretty quick I would expect.

My guess is that the pre fund was quite a bit lower than the loan and therefore that SS will drip feed more of it onto the secondary market over the coming days. My pre fund on this one was set to zero because I already had a very ample slice of the first tranche.

I've just had a quick read through it and seen it was. They was, not to long ago advertising an office block in (I think) the bootle part of the city, a few years ago I'd of said it was a horrible part of the city, but the area is getting major redevelopment at the moment. The apartments are if I remember rightly 2, :3 and 4 bed, and I'm almost certain there is a swimming pool on the roof. I would expect these, when finished, to be to a high standard. High standard in Liverpool is proberly normal in other more expensive parts of the country. Next time I'm in the city centre, I'll take a drive past and have a look round, try the give a honest opinion about the local area. This development is also 1 of 10 developments that is expected to change Liverpool for the better, according to the local rag.

A swimming pool on a Liverpool roof? It would take a brave soul to make much use of that, but I suppose it's value is in the marketing side of things rather than the practicality of it.

When I first joined I seen this loan, didn't read the info and didn't know about here. I love my city, although I don't always sing its praises, I would love to see it up there with the other big cities, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and although a lot of good is happening in the city, there is still loads of , like most cities. I was planning on investing most of my money in this original loan, and feeling like I was helping the city aswell as helping myself. I was talking to a very wealthy business owner (owns a short term loan business and invests in all sorts, gave some good advice, most of which I ignored) he said never make investment with your heart, only your head, after that I planned on staying away. Sorry for the long post.

The Bootle area development was (I think) the loan on SS PBL059/072; the pool was discussed in on the loan thread ( here) Alway good to have a bit of local knowledge; please do keep us in the loop

cooling_dude SSSH have charges fixed and floating against S******** C***** Ltd (same director) and Lendy has one as well which seem to be the relevant charge for this loan though no specific asset is noted. (date on latest is right - other might refer to earlier loan) I notice that the 4 charges against PBL59/72 are still listed unsatisfied. Annual return 3 months overdue

Probably just admin delays by someone, there are new charges against the bootle block showing for SCL in favour of a new company

The loan is solid and the borrower has a good history with SS having repaid other loans previously taken out.
