jonah Looks like Lendy will need another colour on the charts for all the untradable loans otherwise the SM will look untruthfully healthy. I’m not as close

jonah Untradeable loans are Lendy's latest new idea for loans in trouble that they don't want to default. Lendy call them non performing loans. Today's new non performaing loans are: (Edit - Actually I am no longer sure what Lendy call them - I have rather lost the plot in the latest game of how to classify the non performing loans). The following loans are untradeable: PBL084 PBL155 PBL161 PBL166 PBL189 DFL001 DFL002 DFL016 DFL017 Not sure where they should appear on your chart. I don't think Lendy make it easy to distinguish them. cooling_dude has suggested he might manually add them to his database - all getting a bit awkward for your charts.

Historical 2017 dataBuilding on previous posts, below are the data gathered for 2017.... All data is from the public websites so I assume that there are no issues with this, but if there are any concerns, please PM me or post below. Secondary marketsMoneyThing ( MoneyThing ) This data is taken from the available funding stat on this page: www.moneything.com/p2p/This figure is not entirely all available immediately though, as this figure does not take into account any '24 hour' buy limits. Please note this is a single snapshot for each time period, which was taken once an hour, just after the hour. If you are looking at a fast moving secondary market, it is possible that this snapshot could be unrepresentative of the time just before or just afterwards. It is however the value provided by the site at the time my script downloaded it. Rate graphsBondmason ( stevefindlay ) This takes data from www.bondmason.com/how-bondmason-targets-70-pa-returnThis reads in the 'average rate today' from almost the bottom of that page. Lending Works ( Matthew ) This takes data from www.lendingworks.co.uk/peer-to-peer-lendingThis page was significantly changed with the site revamp a while back. I only go around to looking to fix this earlier this month. For some reason which currently escapes me, I can't use xpath references for this page, so had to use a CSS selector. Worse, a reference for the 5 year rate seems to prefer the 3 year. If I find a way to fix this I will do so, until then, this reads the 3 year rate from the mini table on this page. Data from before the 1st of December was from the previous version of this page. Octopus Choice ( vanessaiman ) This takes data from octopuschoice.com/ This reads the rate from within the big purple circle on this page. Ratesetter (no rep to tag) This takes data from www.ratesetter.com/invest/everyday-accountOriginally I used the homepage for this, but a while ago this seemed to change to sometimes show different markets. As I found the '3 boxes' in the above before I got around to looking to parse the home page, it seemed easier to just add all 3 markets, which is what is in the above. Please note this is a single snapshot for each time period, which is taken once an hour, between quarter past the hour and half past the hour. All numbers (i.e. y axis) are in percent. Whilst most sites may change rates on a less regular basis than, say, a secondary market, this doesn't guarantee that this rate would be offered for you. It is however the value provided by the site at the time my script downloaded it. A combination of Selenium, RRDtool, imagemagick and hostinger have been used to create this.

On the off chance that folk still find this of use / interest, I've done a few updates:
The year to date view should now be 2018 not 2017. I've put up a summary of all 2017 data as it's own post. The links in the first post are all updated.
Enjoy.

On the off chance that folk still find this of use / interest... I'm also one of the many who refer to this at least moderately often, and don't feel the need to comment every time... So thanks 1000 times over for all the times I've missed! I noticed that the recent tweaks to the lendy site seem to have broken your data acquisition process. I might need to resort to copy-pasting into a spreadsheet of my own to get the total loan parts for sale today! [Edit: as of a minute or two ago, 1630920 IOA, 506427 IA, so both continuing the downward trend since the start of the month]

I’m aware. Hopefully fix tomorrow.
Edit: Well, today is actual the day after tomorrow (but not quite as cold!). Fixes have been applied and within 2hrs should be taking effect. If this doesn't work, then I will have to find a board to get drawing on, with my back for some reason (surely a pencil would be easier?)
Edit #2: fix worked.

+3 .. useful stuff, although the recently (-ish) added categories of 'suspended' (on Ly and MT) do mess things up a bit, since I assume these are nowhere to be found in any of the graphs .. they ain't defaulted, but they can't be for sale (and they are no longer a negligible amount).

I’m aware of the issue. I fixed one problem yesterday but caused another. The good news is I’ve found the new problem... just need to work out how to get around it. Worst case scenario should fix this weekend but will try sooner via a tablet.
Edit 15th.... onion like, 2x issues fixed but at least one more. Finding an ARM6 compatible binary was fun.... finding out why it can’t be found is next challenge. No eta on restoration of service.
Edit 18th... not looking good. Both plan b and c (technically c and f but never mind) don't work for various reasons. I suspect I may need a serious rethink. Shorter version: This won't be back any time soon. Sorry.
Edit 28th... Technically I’m on plan l. The good news though, is I’m almost certain it will work, at least for MT. It’s a significant rewrite but ive got POC code for MT running. It is also massively faster than my old approach. So, as there is a convenient weekend coming up, I’m hopeful to get MT up and running, possibly on Friday. Once that’s done, I suspect the other elements should be able to follow. Lendy could be more challenging (several data points to get) but I don’t see why it shouldn’t be possible. Fingers crossed.
