I prefer the right graph.
When large Saving Stream loans click over the artificial 180 day boundary for defaults, the top line on the left graph will show sudden drops. By stacking the lines in the right graph, the top line shows the total secondary market availability - a useful visual indicator that is missing from the left hand graph.
Whichever display you choose, these graphs provide a helpful overview of the way the secondary market volumes are changing. I use these graphs regularly to get a feel of how the market is moving to assist my planning of secondary market trades. Thank you, Jonah.

Right jonah - would it be possibly to have a graph covering a longer period? Lots of questions on here are from newbies asking has the SM always been like this, then referred to the last feast or famine. If you could see this visually it would be easy to refer them to it. It would also help spot trends over the long term and see the effect of changes (eg effect of INPL removal, larger loan repayment etc.). 6-12m would be good

As the 'right' style seems preferred, I'll look to modify the relevant script. It will be sometime this week. The data gathering is already in place

Left.
Because the graph on the right may show misleading info. For, example a large amount of loans may move from IOA to SBL and then this could be construed as a big selling movement on IOA loans when in fact all they did was move to SBL.
But as a moderator said, I must have my head wired incorrectly.

Sorry, don't generally read the text and just look at graphs frequently most days (not sure if I'm the only one made that mistake) Could they maybe be added with the other graphs in the first post so easier to spot?

Don't hate me jonah but I was just wondering how easy it might be to have a chart of 12%er availabilty vs the rest......? Could prove increasingly useful as they get increasingly rare...

Oddly enough, that might be on the to do list. I've something else I want to get to first, so more likely April ish.

Let there be colour Well, almost two out of three. I could look to work out how to combine the month view with the new data to provide consistency, or wait until there is a months worth of data and then just convert the graph then, leaving the 'how do I merge data sets' question until when I want to do a view of the entire year. Any one want to bet which option I choose? (Obviously to help me free up a little more time for getting through that to do list.... just had an idea I'm really happy about...)
