I see that FCR started proceedings against the Guarantor yesterday with the objective of recovering our money. Some hopes, I expect the response will be join the back of the queue!

The borrower has proven remarkably adept at fobbing off FC, haven't they...

At least the story is more entertaining than the one about the wine merchant who they simply can't find...

It has been announced today that the key player went into bankruptcy on 1st April and the guarantor has made an offer of 24p in the £ to be paid over a 5 year period. How the F*** FC got into this loan totally defied understanding and I for one think FC should at least make up the difference NOW! Would all of those who have also been conned please make their feelings heard on here. You never know if enough complain we may just get somewhere!

You never know if enough complain we may just get somewhere!Fortunately I don’t hold this loan but agree entirely that FC should make up the difference as their due diligence appears to have been somewhat lacking. However, when I made a similar comment on the indie forum in relation to loans to bent lawyers and air con artists I was censured by the forum sage (think about that, or perhaps on reflection, don’t) and told that we’re all grown ups who should be doing due diligence regardless of what FC do.
Well of course I do bl**dy due diligence but unfortunately people are still being ripped off by spivs who FC should be weeding out well before a loan request goes to auction.

5034 seems to have escaped before making any payments 5034 They still can't find him, and are escalating action rapidly. The note published today has hinted at, though not stated, the possibility of malpractice in the obtaining of the loan. C**ppy Scr*pp* (got to be careful there - might get b*nn*d). 24p in the £ OVER FIVE YEARS?? Hands up anyone one who thinks Mr ***n is likely to keep up those payments for more than a month....... thought not. FC should have gone in to this properly as soon as the second payment failed, the background to the company was made clear to them, and the excuses started to proliferate. I still haven't had an answer from our Swansea "lurkers"...is that yard still operating or not? (He only owes me £19.76...others put 1000s in)

Given that all the FC staff have deleted their accounts here I'd suggest complaining direct to FC so they are aware of your anger. And if you don't get satisfaction escalate until you do!

I think that now FCA regulation has kicked in Funding Circle are going to have to admit that they got this one very wrong, and stump up. Otherwise, embarrassing questions could start being asked about this sort of loan. It's not the first time it's happened, you'd think that things would have tightened up.

I look forward to FC taking "...control over the borrower's assets..." I suspect that may amount to one stale pork pie and a receipt for the plane ticket to Rio.

Ah, this one's not in Rio after all. They found him. Another one who has filed for bankruptcy before making any payments whatsoever. This is starting to look careless.
Looks like Farmer and his wife that wanted £100k for a wind turbine are late with first payment too. Not a peep from FC on that one though. How long does it take before FC make a loan comment when someone's late?

5426. Exposed I remember thinking it was risky even for a C-, but was seduced by the rate!
