Yes, and they don't have to live in the most affected areas or chase the most affected employment opportunities. Absolutely spot on! 3 likes for that Sir!

That is exactly why Leave won. MP’s, elites, celebrities etc. are often out of touch and therefore do not necessarily know what is best for the majority of the electorate let alone represent their views. Its great that you finally accept that that Leave didn't win on merit - but because council house occupants (and the like) dont like MP's we got there in the end pal

I didn't lose anything - maybe one day you will comprehend what you lost today Sounds like you were on the losing side of a referendum vote to me. I am just making some general points which you have demonstrated lack of ability to understand, yet want to attack me for, so I said don't worry about it Responding with pertinent facts to someone who has made a wild claim is hardly attacking someone. Do you think that everyone who disagrees with your opinion is attacking you? Have a great independence day Cheers, I will. Today is proving to be a highlight of the year so far.

Anymore sniping at each other and this thread will be locked and head south. There is much to be discussed about the impact of the leave vote on the UK, Europe, economies near and far, and P2P specifically. Please do it politely and constructively. As I said a few pages ago (ie last night), regardless of who won crowing from the winner would be as productive as bitterness from the loser. The country is as divided as it has ever been. Digging at each other won't help anybody.
EDIT: Crossed with BB .

Why are we having this pointless discussion on MPs knowing best again? Those same MPs made the decision overwhelmingly (even more than were pro-Remain) to allow a referendum for the people to make the decision, the people came to a decision, the government and MPs will now work to carry out that decision. That is totally incorrect. Conservative party manifesto provided for a referendum hence it happened as no other party (exepct for UKIP) wanted it Sorry, you are correct, I should have said those MPs who voted on the Bill overwhelmingly made a decision, the rest of them decided they werent opposed enough not to try & block it. Therefore they acquiesed in the decision to allow the people to make the decision.

I believe as it is a leap into unknown territory the decision to allow us to decide was correct decision. How is staying in the EU (which is what MP's overwhelmingly believed was best) a leap into the unknown? No it isn't and look how that has turned out...........but voting to leave is...........and do you honestly believe that MPs get everything right.........that is why we were given the chance to have our say. No one knows the future and for you just to say something is wrong just because you disagree with a 52% majority decision is very blinkered.

Umm, that's been running for a month already. See how it talks about the result in the future tense?
