I suppose that the referendum result is good news for those remainers that delight in making disparaging remarks about people with views different to their own.

The racism of the last few days is a disagrace, please let's not tar the good people on these forums with that brush. It's time for everyone to calm down, as there will be choppy times ahead. I don think that the size and widespread nature of this crash, that there are more underlying issues at play here than just Brexit, although Brexit is the trigger.

If that statement is intended as a snide dig at Leave supporters it’s the sort of comment you could expect in the Graudian reader’s comments but it’s not appropriate coming from a mod. How do I make a complaint? I bet that I don't get an answer to that.

Of course there are far deeper underlying issues, Brexit is a useful pretext.

Liz Steerpike That was not directed at any forum member, least of all Steerpike . It was making the point as a counter point to @steerpikes, that the whole thing has opened up a Pandora's box, not just the 'give reaminers excuse ...' (or whatever the wording was as I'm currently looking at in isolation to the original). EDIT:As a PS, I'm sorry but I still can't see how it could be interpreted that way. The original post was 'The referendum is good news for ...'. Tht is the context of my post.

Any bets on how long it takes the markets to get over their Brexit tantrum? 2 / 3 weeks? I'm on holiday mid October, but so far only booked the flights. Hopefully the £ will recover in time to get a good rate for the hotels. Currently well depressed, think I'll just watch England getting stuffed by the mighty Bejam

I interpreted it as a subtle/snide dig at all the people who seem to have nothing better to do that make digs at one side or the other .. 'Graudian' could be interpreted one such, or it could be a simple typo for 'Grauniad' I suppose. 8>. Complaint is 'report post' under the cogwheel, top right. However you are correct, not all reports get any sort of response. Probably this whole thread should be locked, since the in/out poll has been locked, and all that remains seems to be nasty comments from one side or the other (or comments which people seem determined to interpret as nasty, whether they were meant to be or not).

Don't bet on a Pound recovery but if you're going to a place normally frequented by lots of British tourists you may get the same result due to lots of cancelled bookings when people see the prices.

As I said in previous a post Farage would make a great PM......Pub Minister that is. His job to get rid of all foul those tasting fashionable foreign lager beers that have to be served so cold so as to numb your taste buds to make 'em drinkable, and in the bottle to show off the label and thus your "coolness". To be replaced by Great British real ales I'll drink to that! Cheers! (There'll be a Butty Bach or three at the village fete this afternoon) Was Dorothy Goodbody there?

[Admin Note]
What a fascinating few days this has been, irrespective of which side of the argument we are all on.
I'm also sure that we all feel ourselves to be superior to the rabble of politicians of all political shades, who appear to be intent on throwing their toys out of the pram. I'm not sure much can be gained from raking over the arguments any further at present, and as little new has been discussed on this thread over the last couple of days I've locked this thread.
