Ssshhhh! Lol, we are trying to keep this place a secret! Are you you living here also? I am in Bohol :-) I thought Boracay was the place to be? PS James Bond's are a bit like Doctor Who's, the old ones are the best. I take Sean Connery over limp Roger any time.

I guess Borocay is the most well known beach spot, never been but doesn't sound like my kind of place. Too overcrowded, I like my little beach here in alona :-)

You can lend money to Will hill for the next 6 days and get a ~ 50% return (2,600% annualised) by betting on Remain at 1/2 The polls would indicate an increasing probability of default on that one. According to the government, in this event there would be little chance of recovery... Hills have confirmed loan repayment scheduled for approx 10am on Friday

Well for the past 6 years of early retirement I've lived off income from bonds bought in 2007 and now P2P, I live in Yorkshire where stuff is cheap, own my own home, and have 5% of my money in P2P. The income covers my costs while capital growth is on top.
I aim for 10% after costs on P2P and set aside money for defaults (around 2% accumulated so far and some portals have their own funds).
Is 10% good? Over the years (36 years trading) I've learnt that to earn 11% year on year is a top rate in the equity market. So 10% is good. I don't believe 12% will available long term.
Inflation, all down to the vote today, "vote brexit-vote inflation"
I never gear or leverage.

Well I'm earning Mega interest compared to when I had my money say at Lloyd's bank with 0.25% Savings account!
I certainly couldn't live on my interest yet until I chuck some more money in.. Or could I?
See that is my question! I have a fair bit of money saved, I could lower my lifestyle, travel cheap! Live in a van! A boat? and so on!
