Why do people do this with Osborne? Nobody ever refers to Boris as "Alexander". Nobody ever called the previous PM "James Brown". So why with Osborne?

Why do people do this with Osborne? Nobody ever called the previous PM "James Brown". There is a very obvious reason for this one........to avoid confusion with The Godfather of Soul (RIP), especially at karaoke nights in The House Of Commons, his rendition of "Sex Machine" is legendary

There is a subtle difference, look at their original names Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Gideon Oliver Osborne Johnson uses part of his original name. Osborne changed his name by deed poll. As a pedantic engineer I always go back to source data.

Harold Melvin as far as I am aware always performed with The Blue Notes. The most famous of HM & T B N was in fact Teddy Pendergrass.
