I was expecting a % but SS have replied-
We have made this decision based on all of the individual loans-parts for this loan. We have decided to use bottom-up funding for this loan.
Great communication from SS today.

The state of the secondary market indicates huge latent demand. Excluding the little-fancied PBLs, we are pretty much in a FFF world. I'm not surprised SS have gone for bottom up allocation. The entire loan is going to disappear very quickly and I really don't see much being sold to fund it.
No real point for the gamers overbidding this one. Some already selling to get ready. Nearly an extra 100k on the SM so far.
Sadly, I have no risk capital so I'll have to sit back and watch this one.

Does bottom up mean that everyone will receive the same ammount ie loan divided by total number of people who have set prefunding level?

I think it means that the from the current pre-funding amounts it is easier to give the majority what they asked for and cap a few big hitters rather than calculate a % for everyone.

No, if you ask for less than loan divided by investors you will get that amount, once those requests have been satisfied then everyone left will get an additional equal share of whats left, probably rounded to a sensible amount with any remainder put on SM

But I suspect that the amount received will be quite low ie less that £400 I suspect it will be a lot more than that. The loan is for 3M, not an insignificant amount......

I suspect the limit will be in the range £1200-£1500 given the number of people typically wanting less than this.
