Those of you not stultified by the heat may have noticed some minor tweaking of the forum board structures.
I for one have found the length of the front page of the forum a little frustrating especially on small screen devices, and when using a laptop trackpad so some of the changes are aimed at making better use of the front page.
The board for Non-EU based platforms never took off, and has been removed. The threads on MarketLend, an Australian platform, have been merged and copied to the general board.
The equity board generates far fewer posts than many platforms on the "More P2x Sites" sub-page and has been restructured to 2 rows with the platforms on a sub-page. We are considering doing something similiar with the EURO platforms, introducing a new general board for Euro platforms.
This is probably a good time to consider whether any platforms on "More P2x Sites" should be promoted to the front page, and whether any should be demoted from the front page with the overall aim of improving the usability of the forum.
The moderation team can't guarantee to implement any suggestions / feedback made on this thread, but we will at least read every post.

I think Collateral should be promoted. Thincats demoted?

I would agree with those. Collateral has had 1000 posts in less than 4 months and Thincats has 2 of it's own active forums where lenders post regularly, so this one is rarely posted in.

The new general board for EURO P2x platforms is now live, and I've moved any (obviously) relevant threads from the main general board where they were swamped.
In so doing, I noticed quite a few threads have been started for CrowdProperty, so I've started a new board for them under "More P2x Sites" and moved the threads across. It's perhaps also worth mentioning that very recently a new board was created for The Bridge Crowd.

An open question:
Should we demote W&Co from the front page whose ever dropping p2p rates have reached a new nadir (now the choice is just 2.25% pa for 1 year or 2.35% pa for 2 years) ?

Yes, stick them in the general forum where we discuss bank accounts as their rates are heading into the same ballpark

By popular request Collateral has now been promoted to the front page and Wellesley & Co relegated, at least until such time their p2p offering is more popular for new investments than it currently is.

Personally, I get fed up having to scroll down through loads of unnecessary and oft-repeated 'quotes' to get at what is actually being said. It can also make lines of thought difficult to follow. Perhaps quoting should be made a bit less easy to do, and done only when really required to answer a specific previous point. Refrain from so quickly pressing the quote button please! (but don't quote me on this!).

Seconded, you can easily delete the parts which are not relevant to your reply. Multi quotes are very confusing so deter reading.

Perhaps quoting should be made a bit less easy to do... While I agree with the benefits of only quoting what's specifically being replied to, not quoting at all can be more confusing that unnecessary quotes, especially where another reply's inbetween. At least the quotes are clearly visually differentiated. Also, some people object to having their quoted text "taken out of context", even when - as here - there's only one specific point being replied to. It really is one of those "won't please all of the people, all of the time" issues, especially where you have some people who are less au fait with etiquette or with the (mildly odd) way in which this forum's quotes can be manipulated.

Whilst I agree in principle, it is a real pain to cut out the unnecessary parts on a tablet which I generally use for here. When I occasionally post from a Pc I can trim much easier and do so.

This misleading quoting is not as bad as people make out; if there are more than two previous quotes in a post, and you quote that post, the forum deletes the first quote....
