This morning i placed a loan part up for sale to clear negative balance. When i go to the available loans page it never showed up and if i look at the loan PBL128 page it was also showing zero available. Has this happened to anyone else? It isn't going to sell quickly if no one knows it is for sale.

It is showing in my selling loan parts but it won't let me cancel the loan sale, i still have negative balance so it hasn't sold. It is saying +1000 in the sale queue and none are showing on the available loan page. I messaged SS about this but just wondered if others have this problem.

That sounds most strange - I've done a small sale this morning without any probs, it all went thru fine. To my mind the fact that you can't cancel it suggests that it may have actually sold, but for some reason the system is not updating your account.
edit) just seen it was PBL128 which should sell easily. Is it worth logging on thru a different browser , just in case that's the problem ?

At first I assumed it was because they had been partially sold but prehaps it was a different problem. I did send message to SS. I have had this problem before some months ago.

Oddly enough, PBL006 was not showing on the available SM list last night, but I looked at it for whatever reason, and it was showing as 10p available

It did finally sell, but no idea how anyone can buy since not visible as an available loan 🤔

Odd scraps are now showing as available but the selling queue is over £1200 !!

I have the same problem with PBL128 now. Edit: The queue shows £1214 in front of me but NOTHING on the "available loans" page. I have phoned SS to inform them of this and they will look into it. It is showing a queue of £1239 but not showing up on the Available Loans page I was having the same problem early this morning where about £1-2k was stuck in no-mans land not being shown for sale and not being able to cancel the sale. I worked out in the end that my loans were still in the sales queue and had to wait for others to put parts up for sale to 'bump' my parts as being shown as available - basically the last £1-2k in the queue isn't being shown. This seems to be a common reoccurring problem that's that is eventually resolved by SS when brought to their attention.

I have the same issue with PBL128 - £400 for sale at Queue Position £765, but nothing showing on the SM. Didn't try cancel since I actually want to sell it so savingstream can stop dinging me about my negative balance. Emails duly despatched. |

would be interesting to know if the loans are available if you go to live loans and select the loan. when there are available parts, then this could result in an interesting buying opportunity/strategy, but time consuming.

No they are not - live loans agree with available loans .. "there isn't any available". Neither of them agree with the sum of 'selling parts' of the people trying to sell. Mine is now 8.6% sold, so I can no longer cancel the sale, nor can I (or anyone else) buy the rest ... proper pickle, reminiscent of Failed Calculations at their best. Clearly there are some loan parts where the SS system disagrees internally as to their state (for sale, or not), or else the 'for sale' counter is not being derived from the database, but is stored separately (and has got out of step). There ought to at least be a tidy-up every hour or so where the system tries to reconcile itself. 8<.

i think the loans must sell immediately and that is why they don't show on the available page and the problem is that it just takes a bit for it to show as sold and in the balance sheet.
