Oooh not sure if this has been mentioned but I just noticed that the available funds now appears to be rounded down (cos when I went to withdraw it the withdrawal page thought I had 1p extra that it wouldn't let me take!!)

Yes, it is, though a couple of glitches are still around in that or relate areas 1. a loan where I can't offer to sell the last penny that's displayed. Might correct itself before it actually matters though. 2. secondary market edits where you can't change an offer unless you have more not offered than the current value of the offer you're trying to edit. Haven't checked but I assume bids are the same but constrained by cash on account still.

pom - sorry that was an update I did not post... yes we have rounded down so you shouldn't get the error anymore. james (and others affected) - we should have this solved today, as we are just testing on demo server. Basically this all stems from the £0 email... where you get an email saying you have been paid £0 Interest and £0 Capital this month. This is because you have a fractional amount in the loan. The only way you can really end up with a fractional amount is if you have sold in the SM and ended up with the fractional amount. What the system will do now, when you sell to a bid, or create and offer, is check what your residual holding will be, if it's below £1 you will get the message "Your current investment in a loan can not be less than £1.00. So, we have revised your input amount. Please review and click the Submit button again." This will automatically input to sell everything (including the fraction) or offer everything (including the fraction). This will then solve the £0 email going forward. Although, on a personal note, I will miss the very dry emails I get every month entitled 'Very Useful' or 'Waste of an Email' or something equally as descriptive but not for public consumption. Regards Ablrate

Although, on a personal note, I will miss the very dry emails I get every month entitled 'Very Useful' or 'Waste of an Email' or something equally as descriptive but not for public consumption. I assume that you have received some emails from helpful folk offering to apply drain cleaning tools to relevant pipes for you.

Hi All We have instigated a ticketing system for all enquiries. It can be directly accessed here: ablrate.freshdesk.com and all customerservices@ and info@ now go through this portal. Although we don't think we do too badly... we wanted to make the process of Customer Services as efficient as we can. Regards Ablrate

Sounds right and proper for customer service enquiries about our accounts and personal enquiries. Not sure of the scope and why it is in this thread. Presumably suggestions for changes or fixes on the website do not go through customer services? A community discussion is good for that purpose, imo.

Do we have to put our albrate user name & password into a third party site? I tried registering but it says my email address is already in use.

So how does this work then? Do we have to put our albrate user name & password into a third party site? I tried registering but it says my email address is already in use. I had to register using the Sign Up option, prompting for Full Name and Email, but it did accept my dedicated Ablrate email address. It then sent a verification link to that address which, on clicking, took me back into the Portal to set a password. However, I was also able to create a completely random account (I set up a 'throwaway' gmail account for the purpose) and, having gone through the procedure outlined above, was then able to raise a ticket, so it isn't dependent on that email already being known to Ablrate. (It may be more convenient to have a single sign on - such that the helpdesk portal at freshdesk.com was aware of our Ablreate sign-on credentials - but I appreciate that configuring SSO in a secure manner is non-trivial, and when my financial details are held on one site and my support tickets are held on a third-party site, I really don't want the latter knowing about my login details on the former.) Funny, I seemed to be already registered. I reset my password and looking at my profile it has my ablrate user name as my name. Maybe because Ive raised queries through email previously Im already in the system or maybe Ive been an unwitting guinea pig.

Although we don't think we do too badly... we wanted to make the process of Customer Services as efficient as we can. How can I and others opt out of your planned use of cookies by thirteen different add networks to serve adds to us based on the web sites that we visit? They in theory link to an opt out service but that is not specific to them if reached and it doesn't actually go to even that page, taking us to a page mentioning scary zombies instead. I suppose you/they are really keen to serve those ads. How should customers who do not wish to accept the Freshdesk terms and conditions contact Ablrate and ensure that no personal information is stored in Freshdesk systems? How can we find Freshdesk's membership details in the Privacy Shield program that they claim to be a member of, given that a search for their name turns up no hits? Less specifically, did anyone actually read their (lack of) privacy policy before deciding to use them? For Ablrate to try to require customers to accept interest-based advertising as a condition of contacting Ablrate is most unimpressive. I for one will be seeking to avoid communication methods that I know will use their services.

I suppose I should mention one I've used for thousands of emails myself, though not in the last few years: Eventum.

Trying to use the sort functionality on the SM page ........... sorting by Listing title seems to be sorting by the actual wordy bit rather than the recently prefixed Loan Numbers. I was looking to sort by loan numbers as I (now) find them a more useful (and easier) reference. Especially with the multiple secured property loans. Does this bother anyone else? Or is it just me .......... ablrate ?

I too would prefer to sort on the number but as I'm so new here (and there) I assumed that sorting on the 'wordy bit' was what people preferred.

Those of us who have put up with FC for years keep asking for a sort by loan number there, when all we get is a sort alphabetically and they are all called working capital or expansion and growth. A chance for Ablrate to be better than that.
