The Punch & Judy show reaches its final act. But who is really pulling the strings?

Clinton may not be anybody's first choice for the job - but I think quite a lot of people need to put their dislike of her on the shelf, and just take a mental step back and realise one thing.
The choice is not between Clinton and <insert preferred offering>. The choice is much, much simpler than that. The choice is between Clinton and Trump.
And, frankly, I find it mind-meltingly inconceivable that anybody could realistically think Trump was even remotely fit for the job.

How are there still odds on Bernie Sanders winning of ~ 100/1?
I thought that Clinton was the Democratic candidate and that Sanders had been eliminated earlier in the race?

I thought the show was real, but it got so ridiculous that I then left by the back door and sneaked around. Then I saw the strings!

Interesting that the poll above resulted in a dead heat 50:50
This more or less reflects how the popular vote in the US tends to divide (55:45 pretty much covers every election ever).
Of course with the Electoral College system, within that spread can lie a landslide victory for a candidate or indeed a candidate can lose the popular vote and still win the election.

Many states have the option of writing in the name of a preferred non-candidate. Together with the various third-party candidates, they seem to me to be ways of being a bit petulant about Clinton while giving Trump a better chance...

Well notification of decision is nigh. I'm wondering which p2p platform will be offerring loans secured against "Trump 2016" or/and "Clinton 2016" memorabilia, which of these will be described as being 'in high demand', and which will carry the highest alleged value.
In the last few days I've had the opportunity to discourse with a couple of my US colleagues ref. the election, and if they are representative then it will be a 100% vote for "she who should be in jail". I don't however make any claims to the accuracy of the demographic representation of this admittedly relatively small sample. I am instead approx. 49.73% preparing myself to wake up to to the possibility of the disintegration of the fundamental tenets of NATO, a major infrastructure investment on the US-Mexico border, a bro love-in between Nigel F and the bouffant one, with one Mr Putin looking on rubbing his hands in glee, and Canada announcing a major infrastructure project on its southern border to pre-empt the predicted flood of immigrants from its neighbour.

And the winner is [drum roll.....] Vladimir Putin.
Next up on the world stage: Marine Le Pen as the next President of France, and Beppe Grillo as President of Italy. (Actually, the latter might come first as they have a habit of getting through elections at a rate of knots).
actually, might the bouffant one be some form of genetic combination of these two ? The politics of the first, and the gravitas of the second ?
Apologies to all those who view the above outcomes as desirable.

Anybody else feeling physically sick? R.I.P. civilised political debate. On another day Joe Root's performance would've lifted the spirits. Now it's only a very, very minor consolation!
