Welcome to my world, young tesim. I've started to practice grunting and pointing, to be ready for the next phase of human communication. You're skipping raving and drooling then?

A moment ago, there was nothing at all on the SM apart from PBL 60. (A couple of little bits have since crept back on).
Makes me wonder if someone on the inside at SS cleared up all the shrapnel to encourage people to plough proceeds into PBL 60 ...

I'm a new user on SS, so lack experience of the pipeline deliveries. Am I correct that there is usually a bit of a drought of loans, but that we'd had an unusually bountiful delivery of new loans in the last month? And once this current supply is gone things might get a bit lean.
Edit: Well I see that another 200K of PBL60 just arrived, so there is supply if not variety.

September was definitely atypical.

Sometimes, though the lack of pipeline currently is deliberate to clear glut & manage change to Trust structure. Probably a hidden pipeline SS arent revealing yet, hopefully

I see some loan parts on offer near or past their due dates. Are these considered higher risk, since one supposes there is the risk that refinance will not be found? Or do lenders often buy them simply for diversification?

Or do lenders often buy them simply for diversification? In the past there was little problem in buying these near / past due loans as SS have paid interest on them regardless. Going forwards under the new Trust structure, loans that go past due will not hve interest automatically paid by SS until it is paid by the borrower (although interest will still accrue unpaid), so you will probably be better to avoid them. However, if you want to diversify quickly now, the "old" loans are still under the old structure so no real problem with buying some.

That's interesting - PBL58 Torquay has gone £50,000 negative!?
Edit: Now £48,000 negative.

Whilst this is correct, SS have said they will be moving loans onto the new structure, so it may be worth considering that point before investing.

Another £100k of PBL60 has just arrived. Was I the only person to pre-fund PBL60, then...? How much has gone on the market since it launched? I was starting to wonder if I'd missed something truly toxic about it, but just looking through the investment activity, somebody's had (another?) £34k of it today.
