I doubt it will ever live up to your expectations, fasty. On occasions, it actually has...

I think that the server hamster has stopped pedalling this afternoon, too. As I said in t'other place, it went wonky about 15:40, and didn't get properly well for hours. Too many auctions closing I guess (I.e. >0!) .. Or maybe the property loan turning into loan parts choked it?

Started early today. Only half past 8 and I'm going for a walk between bids.

Yesterday was awful but turns out BT had scr#wed their network with some CISCO router updates, so not FCs problem. Today, not so bad, yet. The problem still seems to be a couple of minutes each side of an auction end, when presumably a few thousand bids have to be turned into loan parts and transaction reports updated.
It just doesn't seem to be getting any better... Just varying between OK, poor, and awful rather randomly.

Aloanatlast is right, you can boil a kettle in the time it takes to respond today.

Seems fine again at the time of writing (Monday 19/5/14) I also note that an anomaly I had previously noticed regarding secondary market quantities of loan parts for the property loan 6142 constantly ramping seems to be fixed. I wondered if the two might be associated.

Looks like the website has fallen over again. My bid at 13.1% on 6182 is still in "safe" by about £2000, except that I've watched nearly £15,000 get bid at 13.0% without any impact. FC still hasn't released my money so I can't bid at a rate that might actually win, but I'm sure a few minutes after it closes I'll discover I didn't get a slice.
Will be interesting to see how their complaints stuff works now they are FCA regulated...

Yep, it's just closed with £154k allegedly successfully bid on a £120k loan (that the government should be taking 10% of, so only £108k actually available).
Looks like the people who thought they'd successfully bid at 13.0% in the closing hour of the auction will all turn out to be unsuccessful.

This is seriously bad. I have just watched 2 loans close with bids increasing, but the highest bids not reducing. The auctions closed with several thousand pounds bid above the loan requirement. In each case the bids only corrected about 5 minutes after the auction closed. Perhaps guess the live bid is a new FC game to entertain us ahead of the Bank Holiday.

Currently feeling a little annoyed about it; especially after I transferred some new money into my account to specifically take advantage of it. Looks like a new version of the website went live this morning, based on the new home page picture of another happy borrower, so this looks like another new 'feature'...

Looks like a new version of the website went live this morning from what I can see of the home page, so this is evidently another new 'feature'... I noticed the site was down this morning until just before 8:00, but didn't notice anything "new" when I've logged in this morning. What's the difference you noticed?

That'll teach me to re-edit my posts while somebody is in the process of quoting them. Answer is in the above post now, but in a nutshell, I noticed a new borrower picture on the home page when viewing using Firefox and all the stylesheet fonts seem different to what they have been. I deduce from this that something has been changed.

Scheduled maintenence: system performance/integrity has become so bad that we have had to take the system down without notice to try to fix it quick. Unscheduled maintenence: any offers for what that might be?
