MT loan of over £600,000 gone in less than 60 minutes. The problem with MT is that their loan descriptions are detailed, their valuations sensible, questions are quickly answered, interest rates offer fair value for the risk, and loans launch on the day and time advertised (to the second). I struggle to see what the attraction is ... The problem with MT is that whenever there's something interesting going on the website crashes at 4pm.

I'm very annoyed about this delay. I sold loan parts on Sat to apy for these, now I will have cash sitting doing nothing or get it out to put back sometime when.

/mod hat off
The general rule with SS is 'don't sell until you see the whites of their eyes (i.e. AFTER it really goes live)' .. given INPL (invest money you don't yet have) there is no reason to sell before the new loan goes live, unless you are planning to sell something unpopular, in which case you sell early to beat the rush. Given tomorrow is interest day, I expect there'll be quite a lot of recycled interest rather than new funding, IFFin this one ever actually flies. As someone said, this is already about a month late vs the initial go live date (first seen on the pipeline 19th December).

I'm very annoyed about this delay. I sold loan parts on Sat to apy for these, now I will have cash sitting doing nothing or get it out to put back sometime when. In general, I wait until after the thing has gone live, going temporarily overdrawn and then selling. I know that this may be risky in that your sale may not complete quickly enough (i.e. within the required 48 hours) and you could lose the new loans you have prefunded. That said, with the current liquidity in the SM, unless you're trying to sell really toxic stuff then there should be no problem selling quickly (and if it's toxic, you probably should have sold it anyway!).
However, this is just my strategy in the current climate and it suits me for the time being; it may not suit you and I am certainly not advising you to change your strategy.

Interest is Wednesday is it not? Wednesday is the start of the month is it not? The interest run will occur on Wednesday. However...
Strangely, after everything has settled (which takes a while), if you then download your account transactions, you will find that the interest payments are backdated and will most likely appear immediately before all your normal transactions on Jan 31st.
So this month's interest payments will be dated Jan-31 (tomorrow) and precede all other transactions for tomorrow. Effectively the interest will end up looking as if it were paid into your account in the early seconds of tomorrow morning.
Why do SS do it this way? <Insert deity of choice> only knows.

Thinking back, I was ready to sell everything I own and put it in these three loans.

I'm now registered with MT!
I sold £187 worth of loans last night because they was only bought a few days ago, I wouldn't of been able to see them when this loan went live.
The £187 is now fully invested again, I'll sell them again after midnight.

Seriously, if it has no pre-funding, there is no point me using it, I work all day and don't have the time to sit around and wait for loans to pop up.
