Time for me to sell £6K of this! Midnight if anyone wants. Are you really going to stay up until midnight for the sake of £1.80? What do you mean 'stay up until midnight'? Does anyone go to bed BEFORE midnight? 😋

No new dd announced but it is quite a big loan and how quickly the units will sell has been raised, also previous history relating to funding on another platform. Read through the thread, it will give you ideas as to why some investors may be switching into other loans on SM and some lenders typically churn around 100 day mark.

why is so much of this for sale, does anyone know? It's an 11% loan with sub 100 days to run. Also available is masses of an 11% loan with 300+ days to run. I suggest some lenders are trying to switch, but selling the Castle is a slow process at the moment - partly because most new 11% money will be going to the London one.

End of month looms. Do I remove my final chunk of the castle loan from sale to get the interest or what? I've had it on sale for a month and it's at position £167k out of £261k and in the last few days it hasn't shifted at all. With 26 days to run i don't expect any change of sentiment before it goes negative. I cannot decide whether to hold stop faffing around and just hold to term and get the interest, sell/withdraw every month in some vain hope something will change, or just keep in sale queue while others withdraw from sale to get interest. I know other people have been caught out with this one and interested to know what they are doing? If you are below me in the queue please declare an interest!

I put several parts on SM at different times. The first one has been there for 32 days now, the current queue for it is 89k, the others are in longer queue. I'm quite certain that this queue is going to get slower and slower as it is approaching SBL and will probably get completely stuck if the loan flow continues to be disproportional to repayments. Also looking at what is happening on MT and C I don't think selling parts of 11% 24 days term castle loan has much potential to success. I'll do what I think is sensible - cancel and stick with it up until the end. At least I will get some interest. It could be even better - I can't rule out that one day someone will buy this castle and at least some of the capital will be recovered. After all it's my own fault investing in castles I can't see any point in keeping it on SM for much longer.

I'm holding a small amount of the castle. I'm holding to term, ive never tried to offload any of it. This loan has been quite unpopular from start to finish, not entirely sure why. it's probably because of the picture that's one butt ugly looking "castle".

I suspect many people think the borrower is going to have difficulty paying the loan back and that the security may be difficult to sell. They were my reasons for selling and I'm happy to be out of it. That said, I would not be overly concerned if I was stuck with it, just other places I would rather be invested.

I sold one of my last remaining loan parts in the Castle yesterday 26th May. I have just checked my account and that particular loan part was listed for sale on 14th April.
I still have 300 in the castle and my next loan part for sale is about 18k from the front so maybe that one will go but I'm not over optimistic.

Okay after a few days with the queue not moving at all, i've cancelled my sale. All you lucky people below me can now move up by £215! I shall hold to term - the £215 is the last money i have in Lendy having been up to £30k, and i shall not put any more in until I see defaulted loans being defaulted rather than simply parked - much as Sellafield buries its nuclear waste...... You should've done, according to 'investor activity' somebody bought 5k followed by a tenner.
