More like the butchers. In any other line of business this would be classed as downright theft imo.
Probably worth pointing future TP reviews to this particular loan.
Forget DD when you're dealing with this sort of 'investment'.

I would caution the use of language in some of these recent postings which could be construed as libellous. We all have our opinions as to this wayward loan but it as well to stick to the facts - a large sum of money has been borrowed and not repaid and lenders want to know why not.

I dont know about aiding and abetting them but the latter are certainly <redacted>. The savvy ones knew all along about this one and did post warnings up so fair play to them but unfortunatly for me i was swung by the LTV and it was at a time that people where just mopping up whatever came onto the market. I have 4K tied up in this and if we asume best case i get half my money back , then the thought of just handing over 2K to these <redacted> for absolutley nothing really does niggle me. I'm not in this one but it sounds like you've been taken to the cleaners Yes well as it says in the post 4K worth of laundry bill. Surprised your not in this with how vocal you are about it

We may surmise that. It would require a conviction in a criminal court before such a statement could unequivocally be made.

That for me would be a satisfactory outcome.

For Sale by Pawn was a phrase that someone accurately used early on in this debacle ... You have to wonder why they bought it in the first place, if they had no intent to do anything with it. Is the loan amount substantially greater than the borrowers purchase price, I wonder?

For Sale by Pawn was a phrase that someone accurately used early on in this debacle ... You have to wonder why they bought it in the first place, if they had no intent to do anything with it. Is the loan amount substantially greater than the borrowers purchase price, I wonder? Often hard to determine that, but the answer is frequently 'yes', or else it was sometimes (not necessarily in this case) bought from their brother's wife's sister's uncle, or similar (also hard to discover). Anyway, it's a DFL, so you'd expect the loan to be purchase price plus initial development tranche/cost, which is sure to be more than purchase price alone. Add a vanishing timber frame or two, and voila, instant FS-Whitehaven.
